Onoki vs Hiruzen "prime"

Biased NB opinions, nothing more. People are selective of hype, especially if it favours their favourite character but disregard others completely.

Hiruzen, from both hype and the writer's intention (hype serves a purpose of acting as a mouth piece for what can't be displayed) on who is stronger, wins this match up for me.

I accept neither Hashirama's hype from Kabuto nor Hiruzen's. What makes Hashirama powerful for me is seeing jutsu used by Edo-Madara that are said to be Hashirama's abilities. I extrapolate the mokuton abilities of yamato and edo-madara. I feel I may be overestimating Hashirama by adding in Obito's mokuton feats. I believe hype is to go in conjunction with feats and what is intelligible based on reasoning.
So for instance I'll buy that Hiruzen knew many techniques of the hidden leaf, after all he was a two term hokage with nearly 70 years of experience, but I do not buy Hiruzen was stronger than Oonoki, the Third Raikage, the second Mizukage, I'll buy him defeating A and Mei. But him being stronger than the other kages of his time, no.

Oonoki, low diff. Onoki was the biggest factor in the 5 kage vs Madara fight as Madara himself claimed. He has a kekkei touta jutsu. All Hiruzen has is the reaper death seal which causes his own death. And an ok summoning in Enma. the rest of his jutsus are fodder level.

It's really funny how hype is so selective on this site.... The would run down statements like " Hashirama is the only person who can defeat Madara"

When similar things was said in the manga as well... eg Onooki is the only person that can defeat muu...

Why do people bring that one up as an example to disprove hype? At the time the decision was made to send Onoki to Gaara's battle, the alliance members were correct: Onoki was the only one currently on the shinobi alliance that was available to fight and could somewhat put up a fight against Muu. He was their best option at the time. Once BM Naruto came into the picture, that was no longer true. But at the time the decision was made, Muu was the strongest piece on the battlefield and Onoki was required to counter him.

People fail to realize how powerful Onoki is, Onoki cracks the top ten, Hiruzen doesn't.
