Meteor is not an energy ball that can explode on contact, it just a massive size rock plus steel. That is mean Onoki can touch it and do something to hold it from crushing on him.

But TBB is an energy ball that can explode on contact and there is no technique can be use to make that ball turn lighter. When Onoki try to apply his mass/weight altering jutsu on TBB, he will get blown up to pieces
