Smoke in general is a collection of airborne solid and liquid particulates and gases emitted when a material undergoes combustion or pyrolysis, together with the quantity of air that is entrained or otherwise mixed into the mass, and so is like that in Narutoverse.
Smoke Ninjutsu is first of all, not an element which is important to mention because a lot of people think it is. Smoke is only an unique, special and advanced control over smoke that was previously created and the user cannot create smoke. We create smoke by the use of tools such as; smoke bombs, gas masks and the most practical out of all - wrist launchers (especially when they are one-barreled). Smoke is very dangerous and its most known features are that it can blind and make a person have trouble breathing and suffocate. Due to you not producing smoke from your body but just using an already existing smoke, it can also have bad affect on the user. That's why it's important to wear a gas mask or a ventilator.
Smoke has no elemental strengths and there is no elemental technique where it would clash with Smoke and Smoke would win. But Smoke has elemental weaknesses and those are Wind Release and Water Release. Wind will blow the smoke away, and water diffuses, soaks up the smoke when coming in contact with it.

smoke is a genric type of camaflauge and has the ability to be manipulated not to mention it can take on different forms and colors. it is used from launcher type of ninjutsu weaponry that does not count as a cw but can also be made into a cw with the right imagination.
it is best paired with sensory or sage mode for tracking purposes. it has the ability to hide things and that includes scent. we can also deduce it hinders doujutsu users at a disadvantage just like mist would but smoke creates a harder to breath enviroment.

After a short amounf of time, he has the chakra fully ready for the performance of this technique. He then carefully but quickly transfers the chakra into the wrist launcher. As he's transfering the chakra, he also notices that his sensei has thrown 3 shuriken at him. As he's transfering his chakra, he also starts triggering the mechanism in the launcher and starts creating smoke. He immediately starts mixing his chakra with that smoke and he aims with his launcher into the ground. Right before shuriken get close to him, he manipulates the smoke into forming a jet of smoke that propels him into the sky and thus enables him to avoid the shuriken.
After a short amounf of time, he has the chakra fully ready for the performance of this technique. He then carefully but quickly transfers the chakra into the wrist launcher. As he's transfering the chakra, he also notices that his sensei has thrown 3 shuriken at him. As he's transfering his chakra, he also starts triggering the mechanism in the launcher and starts creating smoke. He immediately starts mixing his chakra with that smoke and he aims with his launcher into the ground. rojuro quickly release smoke from his launcher pointer to the ground slightly on an angle and veers to the left while flipping to end up showing off while landing just outside of the radius of the shuriken.
whats the range on this for being able to maneuver?
also can u use existing smoke to do this as well.

You can move 1 range essentially. So long to mid or mid to short, or vice-versa. It can't be used with pre-existing smoke as you're not using the smoke to move you, you're using the force of the smoke being released from your launchers.

For this next one, release the smoke from your launchers and use it to cover the entire body of the clone from head to toe. Compact the smoke tightly to bind them. This lets you restrict their movements while also suffocating them. This can be used with pre-existing smoke, but you need to know your target's location.
Also, give me examples of how to defend against this technique AFTER covered by the smoke.

Rojuro finally happy to be at a computer :yayy: he listens to mister T and release a portion of smoke from his launcher, using his chakra he manipulates the smoke around the clone which was located behind a tree covering it from head to toe. Finding the clone was easy from sensing his chakra, then I proceed to compress the smoke binding and suffocating the clone until it disperses without the poof because of being in smoke the clone just disappears.
Well I have idea's to counter this any type of armour would work but then you still have to worry about breathing so a full body wind expulsion that outranks this would be the way to go. Or even a decent size summoning would do the trick probly but that could be iffy as well.
Or you could be reckless like Sakura when she was fully encased in poison from the sasori fight using a explosive tag.
