Look I get why you feel let down. But the story ending at Aizen should not have happened. To many questions like i said. I for one am liking this arc. The formula has not changed in general. It's about Ichigo fighting to protect his friends. Each arc ichigo hasti resuw a friend. First its rukia then orihime then a bunch of his friends and now it's uryu. The tone for several chapters has been different by adding this humor. I don't find it bad or disappointing. Otherwise bleach has had a pretty consistent tone throughout. Its semi serious and has humor elements and has always had sad elements. any changes that can be found i find to be a refreshing difference. My favorite arc was SS for sure and the current arc i like more than most of hueco mundo/arrancar arc. That arc drove me insane with all the orihime whining and ichigo whining and annoying arrancar backstory. I also didn't mind the fullbrig arc. Yes its tone was different but formula same. Ichigo saves his friends by gaining power. That arc wasn't so bad considering it felt like a detective mystery and considering that I get why people cried about it saying that it wasn't bleach. But to me those complaints are silly. They sound childish because it sounds like a kid crying about what thy didnt get. If you have an idea about how bleach should be and you seem to very interested i. Story creating and plannig and whatnot, go to fan fiction and go write some or draw some bleach spin off because wha you think bleach is and what I think bleach is are apparently very different.
Final point, you are a sad/obsessive gin fan. Of course you didn't want him to die. But he was going to die no matter what. If he fought an opponent he was gonna die, you cant just have a villain live. But the way kubo did it very much gave justice to his character. He almost soloed Aizen. And beyond that, he may hve helped in defeating him because he was weakened. His attack certainly did major damage more than ichigo a even yet it didn't activate the seal. Pronbably because more damage needed to accumulate in a set period of time. Also we never knew what gins intentions were, he was always very quiet about what he was doing and we know that he apparently liked rangiku. We see him with her in flashbacks throughout the story and even in real time talking with her and he comments that he wished he could have had her hold him longer when he escaped SS. My brother recently watched bleach and kept asking me what gin was up to and I couldn't tell him because spoilers but even he felt something was fishy. The premise for his betrayal also made perfect sense. We know that rangiku and gin were orphans that met very young and we also know that gin became a shiningami very young. Aizen was known to experiment in rukongai and it is vet plausible for him to have hurt rangiku. Given gins like for her of course he would want revenge. It was all done very logically and was a good way for him to die considering what he had done, no shiningami would have let him live. It was perfect in every aspect, one of the best character deaths in any manga I have read actually. The set up and the conclusion were very good. An we know that ichigo had to beat Aizen, it couldn't be given to gin who isn the star character. Tell me though, what would you have done with gins character? Would you have had ichigo kill him? It would you hve let him escape?
Gin was not a villian, he had committed no more violence than Kenpatchi in his time. He was a spy, he was working undercover to kill Aizen, even if his motives where for Matsumoto, he helped the soul society, I would have allowed him to live and return to being captain so he could have been amazing in this new arc, instead of filling it with lackluster characters like Love who no one cares about. That is what I mean when I say that Kubo doesn't listen. Gin did not need to die to carry the story through, his death was unnecessary, nearly all fans would have written it another way.
I must admit that it was Gin's death that soured Bleach completely for me. In a story you come to except the way it moves, if it had been Naruto I would not have been angry because Kishi set out the possibility that characters die, Kubo lulled his readers into a false sense of security and that is bad writing. Some people may see it as a twist, but the wrong kind of twist can decimate a story for a selection of its, readers. I will never forgive Kubo for that and I will never read any of his work. In my opinion the fall of his manga is karma for letting down loyal readers in one way or another. And then when I did come back and give Bleach another go, I found a totally different story in its place, so...
I' am glad that you still like it though ^___^ I wish I still did...If Kubo resurrects Gin, I will most likely forgive everything XD, until then I will continue to mutter curses until his teeth and hair fall out LOL
