See people don't realize how big of a difference there is between Hashirama and everyone else... Only someone with the eye prowess of Madara ( EMS) can see through his clones...

Meaning, the entire fight of the opponent could be against just a clone..

Now before we bring Sasuke in (cause he has the EMS power).. he however does not have the same level of eye prowess (Perfect Susano'o). Even more.. that he could only see through Hashi's clone is because of them being enemies with the combination of Madara's eye prowess/Techniques.

People.. he is literally out of the league for 99.6% characters of NARUTO.

-A Rinnegan user might be able to IDK

-BM Naruto can find the which ones are wood close b/c of how they would react to his chakra.

--For example Yamato's wood and the Zetsu all turned into full trees.

Madara would've mentioned the rinnegan specifically. But the seeing thing is specifically i believe Sharingan. And also wood clone has Hashirama's chakra, nature chakra is in sage mode. So Sage mode is a no to.

The reaction is for Zetsus and wood. Not Yamato himself. Zetsu is complete mokuton. Its not gonna turn a clone of Hashirama into a tree even though he has skin and etc.
