One thing I expect from Kishi...

What do you know? I can remember Kakashi saying it vaguely, "only friends can fill that void in your heart". Friends in this case could be referring to those who are dead and alive. So it includes Rin as well. Also, by the way the manga has made it out to be, Obito is completely obsessed with Rin and his plan. The only person who he can think of most is none other than Rin. So it's only logical for Kishi to somehow bring her back considering Obito is not easily going to let go of her memories and feelings. I'm not saying that he shouldn't stay with Kakashi and everyone else and that he should continue with his plan but rather the contrary. :yeah:

when naruto and sasuke were attacking obito he had a little daydream or whatever that instead of doing the infinite tsukuyomi that he had his friends help "fill that void in his heart"rin is long dead and is the void that needs to be filled

Sorry bro but if Rin doesn't get revived eventually somehow later on during the manga, then I'm gonna hate Obito's character and it will be whack. Rin is one of the most important part of Obito's character since she helped to open his eyes to the corrupt ways of the shinobi system and he intended to revive her from the very beginning. So it wouldn't seem right if Rin doesn't come back. :| It will also mean that Obito is just be a weak, fodder-like virgin who's given in to the people he used to oppose. The whole purpose of why he's joining Konoha again is for strengthing bonds with friends. It would seem shit if his only best friend and lover is left out of this. U_U

Obito dying before coming to Konoha would also be shit because it would also in a way be like Nagato's ending. U_U Nagato was a villain but moments before dying he came to the good side. :eww:
