The DNA did not match Karin, it matched Sakura. What Suigetsu tested was Sarada's umbilical cord from Sakura.

Still, they make clones out of anything in this manga and then give you an empty explanation as to why it works. And don't get me wrong, I love the manga and I appreciate Kishi, but to be fair the science in this manga is fantasy explained by fantasy in fantasy terms. Just sayin'
