All his hardships has been due to not being able to control his chakra, 9tails has fought him all the way, with a occasional boost. Naruto would have out done sasuke forever ago. He would have surpassed his dad long ago, given he would have had his dad, Jirayia, and Kakashi as mentors. Take away 9tails and you still have a badass Naruto. However sasuke wouldn't be where he is without Naruto the WAY he is now. No rival, no bonds, no way for Oro to obtain him without force, Oro would have sac'ed him ages ago for his body... Good thing for Sasuke fans that Naruto is how he is, and who he is.

You mean Edo Madara with the Rinnegan and Hashirama's cells.I assume the chapter was explaining Madara when he was alive, seeing as comparing an Edo to a normal human isn't a fair comparison.
