Well, he'd only be able to use it twice, and then he'd be blind.

Danzo used izanagi with 3 tomoe so you don't need ms or ems for his twins izanami. You don't need senju dna to use maybe to elongate the time.

Normally I would say yes as we've only seen MS users use it. But as others have stated Danzo used it and none of the eyes he possessed had MS. So I would say no MS is not actually a requirement.

I'm not sure, but the part of the past with Izanami is filler, they did it just to give a depiction for the audience. We won't know until Kishi puts an explanation in the manga.
