If Itachi cast Izanami on an Edo Tensei, would the soul fade away, while the person's mind is still trapped inside Izanami?

However, if the user of Edo Tensei release the jutsu, while one of the user's Edo gets trapped inside Itachi's Izanami, can the Edo Tensei (any death person) escape the Genjutsu? Like what happens with the body etc.

1. I don't see why the soul should/would fade away (I'm assuming you mean it the caster of Edo tensei left emotions intact).

2. The person would escape it, I don't see someone being trapped in a genjutsu in the afterlife, since that's what would happen if the converse is true

Why fade away? He casts that on the soul. If your mind is trapped,so your soul. And if the person escape the loop,there is no guarantee that it will fade away.
Izanami is to accept your fate,Edo people already did,and died,so them coming back to life is not their choice. Somebody else made them to accept this.

It will fade away I guess. Because their destiny is already ended and they don't need to accept anything.

The body of the Edo Tensei is already dead. The soul occupying the vessel would be caught in the loop.
