The ICv2 website posted an interview with Kevin Hamric, Viz Media senior director – sales and marketing, on Monday. In the interview, ICv2 asked Hamric, "Anything change in the last few months in terms of the streaming environment, new shows coming on, or anything that's helping?"

Hamric responded:

”Nothing that's been recently released, but One-Punch Man is coming back on with season two. There's going to be another season of Tokyo Ghoul coming shortly. Later in the year, those would be the bigger releases on the anime side”.

Well, that may be the case, but they also still don't have a clear ending point to wrap it all up like the climax that was Boros' fight in season 1. At least not one that I see. Unless they decide to go straight into webcomic territory and rush the Garou fight, but I hope that's not the case.

I doubt they will go to web comic territory since muratas version is little different(MA tournament arc) than one's version. I would love to see MA tournament arc but I dont think that will be done in season 2. So its most probably a fillerish season which we are going to get like Tokyo ghoul season 2.
