what is his real intention by making one piece
one piece is not luffys story
I dont really get it.what is oda try to say luffy has same fate as roger??
i think ODA'S REAL INTENTION IS TELL THE STORY OF GOL D ROGER.ONE PIECE IS NOT LUFFYS STORY ONE PIECE IS GOLD ROGERS STORY

It is obvious the Luffy has many similarities to Roger, in attitude and personality, in looks and speech, in their love for their crew and similar journeys, even how they acted when they were inches from death.
To me Luffy is the reincarnation of Roger, figuratively not literally. Luffy is the spitting image of Roger when he was young and they even shared the strawhat too.
So since they have so many similarities they oughta have the same life story in how they went from being nobodies to being the pirate king. That being said I want to compare the relationships they have/had. The people Roger met have to be similar to the people Luffy met in one way or another.
Roger had Garp as his main marine enemy. Does this mean the Coby is to Luffy as Garp was to Roger? Or is it Smoker?
Roger had Rayleigh as his first mate and best friend. Does this make Zoro Luffy's Rayleigh? Or is it Sanji?
Roger had WB as his rival. Luffy doesn't seem to have a rival but maybe Law or Kidd will be Luffy's rival?It's common knowledge that Gol D Roger had some sort of incurable disease before his death, but nobody actually knows what that disease was. Admittedly, I didn't think this was noteworthy at first, but then I noticed something. Over the series, Oda has made it a point to draw the similarities between Roger and Luffy:
