I'm sorry, but Oda made it awesome... Though I'm not sure who had the idea of the Gourmet island. One thing is for sure:

Lol, i guess those guys must've had a great time together coming up with this story. I think it must be amazing for Oda to work with such big names too and draw together. Didn't know what Toriko was about, maybe i'll check it out. This sunday the anime cross epoch will be out.

The Gourmet Island comes from Toriko. I've never read the manga, however it goes about a guy who wants to be a master chef or something and for that he goes to the most ridiculous places to gain rare ingredients.
