[Discussion] One Piece....Where do I start!!??

So I just read a thread that was asking everyone how they felt about an anime/manga you thought you wouldn't like, but ended up loving...

With that said....I started my first anime with DBZ back in 96 (yeah, I know, way back! lol) and got into a few other bits of Pokemon, then really got into Yugioh because of my nephew (bought and built me a $400 deck, and he still crushed me on the reg!).

I also found on my On Demand, and loved, Samurai Shamploo. Awesome!

Then I dated this amazingly hot gal named Hollis, and she opened my eyes to Naruto and Bleach (around '09), and I had a lot of catching up to do. But damn, was it amazing!

Now that I'm all caught up and I wait week to week on the next chapter to come out, I need a new "marathon", so to speak...

One Piece, and even she said, is really slow to start, but ends up being really really good! I've seen the same sentiment on here, but just don't know if I have the patience for it.

So finally...here's my question!! Is it worth it for me to start from the very beginning and just man up, or is there a starting point that I can jump into when it's awesome and won't miss anything from the previous arcs (like how most people can skip DB and go to DBZ, no prob)?

Start from the beginning . It may seem time-consuming but it's definitely worth the time, it's better to start from the beginning that way there will be no confusion and you can see the characters being developed without any confusion in the future of what they refer to.

Trust me when I say that is wrong u_u

That Yusuke Urameshi guy neg repped me because I said how, in my opinion, I didn't like YuYu Hakusho. In the comment, he even stated that he knew I was expressing my opinion, but had to neg rep me anyway. Another time, I said how, in my opinion, I didn't like Dragon Ball. I have watched it and gave it a chance, but I was neg repped by four people because of it.

My friend, I know that feeling when you want to start another anime but you are worried that it might not live up to it's hype........
However believe me when I say this....... One Piece is one of the greatest Manga/Anime (I prefer reading the manga then watching the anime). One piece not only has dome bad a** character's but it also has some freaky/Lovable/power that would give you gossbumps.
Now most people say that it starts slow and tell you to skip an few chapters/episode, but DOnT........ You have to start from the very beginning and work your way throughout the series. There are major points that can not be forgotten, you have to learn about the characters an how they came to play. So what ever you do start from the beginning!!!!

Another anime that is worth while...... Fairytail give that one a trie as well.

Start from ep\chapter 1.... But if you feel it's slow.... Then just fast forward to Water 7 and Ennies Lobby Arcs.... Watch those Epic Arcs.... Then you'll automatically go back and continue from where you had left....

Okay, this sells me right here! I'm gonna have a marathon run of some One Piece! I can't tell my friends I'm an anime guy, when I haven't even seen what many of you have stated is (arguably) the greatest anime of all time!

I love me some good comedy in anime! I'm not all action, I love to laugh! Bleach has made me laugh the most out of all the animes I've mentioned, so I hope this tops that
