Nicely said I guess u are right!
That age isn't a reason to assume a time skip is certain. Age has never been something realistic in many series, Goku participated in the Martial Arts tournament for the first time when he was not even a teenager and let us not even speak of Ash.
I just explained after that as why a time skip would be unlikely following the development of the story. It's not impossible, but just not likely. For the past two years the Supernova's have been causing wave after wave, however they have not yet challenged the current order. It's only now since Luffy returned that the 'prelude' has come to a finish and that the real big wave is going to come: Luffy - Law Alliance; Apoo - Kidd - Hawkins Alliance; BB - Kuzan Alliance; the defeat of DD; the provocation of both Kaidou and Big Mum and lastly the Reverie is going to commence soon and I assume that Dragon will also make his move not too long for now, though I can't be sure of that one yet. Either way the story has started gaining momentum for the big wave, so doing a time skip any time soon will only interrupt it. As Luffy already picked a fight with two Yonkou and this short after the 1st time skip, there would not even be any space to have another one. The 1st time skip already served as Luffy's 'preparation' for clashes with the Yonkou.
But as said it's possible Oda might skip a few weeks, maybe months, but I do not consider that a time skip.
