One Piece or Hunter X Hunter; Which one should I catch up in first

Since Naruto's starting to wrap things up, I wanted to add another manga to my weekly reading schedule (Bleach is all by itself on my weekly schedule, then I have to wait a month for AoT and AgK)

In One Piece Im at the part where Hachi pops up for the second time. So I think im right before the Fishman Island (The last panel I remember is Nami wondering why the pose is pointing down)

In HxH im in the Hunter Exams and Hisoka just refused to kill someone that was dying. Gon is trying to get his card.​

I'd say One Piece will end in about 70......0 chapters.

But hey, I just see that as 700 more chapters of something great.

I'd say catch up with One Piece first, as you're only a single arc before you're caught up with the current arc. Then re-read Hunter x Hunter from the beginning.

One Piece started it's second half of the series with the time skip. 598 marked the first chapter post-time skip. Current chapter is 759. I guess over 435 chapters are going to be produced before the last chapter, unless Oda pulls something to increase the speed of the pace.

Hunter x Hunter probably will start the second half of it with the next arc in the manga, as my friend told me. I don't know what's the current arc in the manga, but he said the next arc after this will be the second half of the manga, if it ever gets done.

Just read and catch up with current One Piece, then re-read Hunter x Hunter from the beginning and continue.

Yeah the anime is but not the manga. I recommend both of you guys watching HxH 2011 anime.

OT: I say get caught up with OP then watch HxH because by the time you're caught up with OP, the HxH 2011 anime will be finished (depending on how many episodes/chapters you watch/read daily). I believe you're currently on the sabaody arc, not FI. Which has a really nice ending to the arc and leads up to one of the greatest arcs in OP. Just don't go to the OP section because you'll get spoiled prob.
