[Discussion] One Piece One a Month from now on.

Such a blessing that is the one piece manga is too good to be something enjoyed weekly at around 15 pages at a time. It's something that deserves to be genuinely sat down and reassessed over, read all at once at a good 45 pages at a time (60 pages if it's a full month with no breaks).

I think this would be good because
1) I can get more info at a time and keep any fresh memories in my head that may be forgotten later.
2) I can get a decent fill of the manga all at once, 15 pages isn't enough
3) I can get understand the entirety of a situation. A lot can happen over 4 chapters and everything that doesn't make sense will come together in a few minutes instead of in a week.
4) I can make fully informed predictions. There's nothing worse than starting a new situation or conflict and knowing nothing about it. And it's especially hard to explain or theorize something with no info on it. Waiting 4 chapters will give me enough info to make a proper prediction about what will happen next.
5) and lastly I CAN SEE FULL FIGHTS! It's always 1000x more satisfying reading a complete fight that waiting for that teaser of what will happen next. Of course some fights may go over 4 chapters but at least I'll have more re-read value to hold me over.

Just wanted to share that with you all, in case anybody else liked this idea

That happened to me. My work schedule prevented me form reading for a whole month.

Lost my damn mind when i got back. Reading all them together gave the writer more room to blow my mind at once.

But it wont happen. SJ makes more money like this.

Monthly release is what killed the Attack on Titan manga for me,so I'll probably lose interest in One Piece as well.Besides the manga has an anime to race,and the former is steadily catching up.Last thing the manga needs is to slow down.

Fun fact. This would mean you get 3 chapters next week cause oda finishes about three chapters ahead before the week chapter is released. So if we switched we'd get about 60 pages on wenesday.

I see what you mean, when I had gone from the anime to the manga in Naruto I felt a lot more surprise and suspense when reading it all in one go, it had that effect. After this arc sometime I want to watch them all again then read again like last time...

Also that doesn't quite work for most people including me.As I previously said,interest is lost while waiting and I forget what happened last time.Besides some people just need their weekly fix/dose.For example a person addicted to drugs doesn't take them monthly,he takes them daily or if he is a responsible druggie,weekly.

For that little moment I was frustrated and disappointed so no, the monthly thing won't work for me. I don't even think it will work for Oda, cause it took 10+ years on weekly releases to get in the middle of the story, he would need another lifetime to finish it if it's monthly.

I want OP to go on a hiatus. Not cause it's bad but I find it quite sad that he only gets 3 hours of sleep and doesn't spend enough time with his family. No wonder his flashbacks are bursting with emotions. Oda is a genius and he must have a break. The anime too, I've heard stories in general about how hard animators in Japan work for a small salary. I'm sure Oda can go on a break since he gets paid a lot but I don't think the animators can which is sad.

If you don't like weekly releases only catch up once a month, I personally wouldn't do that because you lose some interest in the mean time and forget a lot of stuff from the last time
