Luffy (&Zoro?) vs Page One & Ulti? A rather unexpected match-up. Though, to me, the most interesting tidbit was that Onigashima isn't the original name of the island. Onigashima has never been presented as anything other than the island where Kaidou resides, but I always received the vibe that there's something special about the island that will play a pivotal role.

I know the ocean is gonna be wavy everywhere but I don't recall them going to an island through a sea like that besides Wano.

I had the same thought to be fair onigashima as whole is recent thing . Even the place oden was hiding was not named after onigashima that pretty much tells you .

Orochi is th brain of beast pirates and kaido is the muscle . I would say Orochi has used kaido really well and creating fear and name so that no enemies could take them on wano it shows the roots are still between these two guys .

I don't think that's a very likely possibility to be honest due to its location. Onigashima is geographically a part of Wano, which is a country that is not affiliated with the WG and is shrouded in mysteries. According to Sengoku God Valley got wiped from the map, while Onigashima is an island that wouldn't have been on it in the first place.

Additionally, God Valley is the island where the Xebec pirates met their end. So, why would Kaidou turn it then into his base of operations; would WB's ship strand not too far from the place only a few years later, but not realizing it and above all somehow not a single person from Wano (present and past) mentioned anything about a cataclysmic event happening right on their doorstep?
