I didn't say hold off though, I said withstood, he took that punch and kept moving to save Luffy. The fact he was able to take a punch through the body from Akainu, a person clearly stronger than Oven and by a good margin and who should by all reason produce a higher heat than Oven, helps show why he should be able to beat Oven. Also he did hold off at least one of Akainu's attacks

IIRC so far only Ichiji and Sanji managed to hurt Oven and even then didn't directly confront him but instead caught him by surprise.

How is it a fact though when we have no way of verifying it? It's been used on one significant person who we have no real way to gauge? It may be but I don't see how it's been proven already.

I feel whatever sanji did in this arc oda has not potrayed him in positive way. I was always big fan of sanji but this is more of a done imo.

Of course once everything gets over Jinbei once again evades luffy. Now he needs to rescue his crew back and stay behind ? I am just tired of jinbei for nakama hype for some reason oda is postponing his crew permanent joining. Is this some death flag for jinbei. But i am vconfident he will make it out alive. Thats odas logic he will be plot kai'd .

Overall not so great chapter except morgans announcement which is rather tediously annoying by now since every one knows by now worst generation are challenger to yonko.

Ps on serious note did kubo kidnap by instance because i dont feel this is the most sub par chapter i have seen this arc.

If bege poisoned the cake, big mom wouldn't have been happy with it, the poison wouldn't have worked for OBVIOUS reasons, and everyone would already be dead

Despite Big Mom lost a significant amount of weight, it doesn't look like her physical strength gone any lower. Even if it happened, it's negligible. She's still a death threat to StrawHats in her worst shape. Who knows how far she could chase Sunny and the crew? The crew can't bet on anything, so they need a diversion, and this is where Sanji's role comes up, to feed her the bait. A delicious bait. All in order to keep Sunny and crew safe. Even the crew can't lose Sunny. It's nonnegotiable.

It would make sense if Bege lied to Sanji and once Sanji leaves, Bege would poison the cake. Why Bege didn't do? I myself been surprised Bege didn't poison the cake. I would assume the taste of the cake enslaved him to his senses. Apparently he couldn't bring it to himself to poison the cake, but who knows? He sure did miss his chance to get rid of big Mom. Even Sanji wasn't interested in what Bege would do to the cake. He just did his part as a cook.

You need to get it sink in your brain, obviously the only common thing in all StrawHats is when they think of something, they stick to it. Sort of principals they won't throw them since they believe what they think is right. The biggest example is Luffy and Usopp's conflict of ideas and thoughts on whether or not to bid farewell to Merry after the damage she got and that she no longer can sail.

So give up on the idea for Sanji poisoning the cake or even if he can stand to Big Mom, he won't hit her. Big Mom is female after all. Sanji isn't your type of douche who "No fuks with ugly ladies". (even though she is ugly old fat lady)
