There is no such thing as regular G4. When he used it first against Doflamingo he already called it Boundman/Bounceman, meaning that form is also just one of the forms, not the regular.

The regular form may just be him bloated up with haki concentrated nowhere. We've seen the major difference between the modes is where he focuses the haki and air. Boundman covers his entire arms and back. Tankman covers almost everything under his chest and his arms. Snakeman covers his arms and legs only... wait.. that's just Gear 3...
Isn't snakeman sorta the same as culverin which he used in hus usual g4 mode?
I hope we get some sort of explanation as to why it is supposed to be so much faster that Katakuri is dumbfounded
Think it was more he seemingly punches Kata on his right side, whilst then his punch speed increases mid punch to come around and hit Kata from his left. It's both the increase of speed and the element of surprise that gets him I think.
Just noticed Luffy's G4 steam is the same as Ceasar Clown's a bit around his neck, re-reading the chapter then and I couldn't stop seeing it aha. Think that's going to annoy me from now on... Prefer bounceman imo, really dislike Culverin attacks until we get a good explanation on how he does them. It takes some insane control over his rubber fruit to use that technique the way he is doing and how he does that it should definitely expand his DF possibilities or be able to use similar techniques in other forms with that level of control.

Cool fight. Finally a Rob Lucci 2.0 kind of fight. It's life or death with no escape. I liked all the snake themed attacks. I guess his Python chases the enemy around. Mamba is like a gattling form of snakeman and it looks like Cobra might be a grabbing attack. It appears Luffy is not making a fist but instead his hand is open.
Maybe his hand will "bite" Dogtooth and pulls him into a range of close combat where he is unable to dodge anymore. Which could also be pretty dangerous for Luffy as Dogtooth is the first one who is not completely blown away by G4 (Besides Big Mom).
It was a bit difficult to understand how Luffy was able to hit him. I'm not sure if it has to do with Luffy utilizing his CoO and nullifying Dogtooth's advantage to see the future. Or if it's like what I predicted last week and Snakeman is so fast that Dogtooth is able to predict what is going to happen but is unable to dodge.
This moment has always been one of my favorites. Luffy promised that he wouldn't fall before the fight was over. Lucci gave everything he got. It is almost enough to knock Luffy down and then he remembers his promise and composes himself and beats Lucci. It's interesting that in this arc it's the other way around where Dogtooth swore he would never end up on his back. I hope Luffy gives him a good long rest in the next chapter.
