Has anyone noticed how 2 weeks ago ppl were b???hing about the fact that side characters got the spotlight and today ppl are b????ing how the side characters win or get taken care of too fast ("1shots")?

This was a very OPish chapter, I loved it and honestly I have to ask, if you're not enjoying this kind of chapters wtf are you still reading this manga for?

Absolutely want this to happen.
Hakuba is actually in a way a separate person too so he should be able to do this, only if he won't go down so quickly this time, which btw I never understood. He should be able to roam freely for a good amount of time if cavendish sleeping allows him to come out.

Well, i don't mind as long as their reasons are acceptable. Some fans have different tastes.
What i dislike is people tend to leave one word remark without even putting some efforts to back it up, especially when criticising. "I hate this chapter!" "meh, 1/5 for me". then just leave like that, i mean, how can i suppose to argue that?

Dat hakuba looked badass at the end of this chapter though. One shotted Dellinger, this guy should be M3 lvl and not wasting his time on executives. He should of fought trebol, or else we will never know the extent of his power.

Excellent progression chapter, although i wished Hakuba had took out Gladius alongside Dellinger.

Dellinger sure looked scary, not a surprise since his a descendant of the fighting fish. Bartolomeo's , barrier can change shapes. What a nice ability. Im liking that we are seeing more of his devil fruit abilities.

You've misunderstood. Literally everyone said they'd hate 771 and the phase of seeing side characters in the spot light. So far, for BOTH 771 and 772 the same people rated the chapter 5* or 4*... says a lot about the fanbase here to be honest

Well, maybe they're just shy. Despite hating the chapter, they may think it still has some good quality overall hence the high vote.

I saw a comment yesterday, someone wrote how he loves OP and it's his favorite manga (it was a long comment) and in that same comment he wrote how the first hindred chapters of OP are slow and boring and how OP has been sh?t ever since MF ended

I mean why the f are you still reading OP if you only like 10% of it? And than a lot of us fans who like the entire story because we fell in love with it all the way back in Loguetown, Alabasta or Skypiea and just love OP for being OP are "OP tards"

I've been a fan for 11 years and every time that we get periods like this (that a lot of actual Op fans like) a lot of "fake" fans (the ones that only ever really enjoyed studf like MF) just start spewing hate

Its not really like that. Its about them being hypocrites. If someone don't like One Piece so be it, nothing wrong with it. The thing is the reason and hypocritism. You hate it for the same reasons you like it for? Some people want something and when it happens in the manga they still complain..? Hating is not a problem, atleast have a better reason.

To me even these chapters are great. I am not waiting for any Yonkos or Admirals to arrive, I am enjoying where the adventure is right now and is it not good. It has been like this for like always. that doesn't apply to the most fans that say something negative about the current arc. people are complaining because the arc started to drag on because oda introduced many characters and that comes with it. now he has to give all of them spotlight, but this is what comes out. fights that are either like zoro and pica, where the one is trying to catch the hiding idiot. or other side characters that fill the panels with one shots or whatever, which could have been done out of the screen. (like few of the coliseum fights)

and i don't mean characters like cavendish or barto that will have a role in the future. i don't see anything wrong with critizing few things when you are a fan of it. op is awesome but that doesn't mean it is perfect.

@bold: Sorry no that would make the arc as good as it is now because of that, totally shitty. And that is one of the strong points of One Piece. You'd realize just how good these details make a series if you'd take one volume and read it in one go. Not every series progress things like this.

Nothing wrong with the zoro fight either. Every chapter is clear or adds something up to the story, that is to say they are necessary and isn't just dragging up. The zoro fight is now even more anticipated because of that, because while you are having these fights of people like hakuba/sai/bartolomew, you know that you have a great fight already to look forward to. And its not like they are using whole chapters on the Zoro fight, Oda shows are few panels with little progression and then switch to another fight to resolve that. If Oda had been using complete chapters on zoro vs pica with no result, even I would've been complaining.

Criticizing is fine, its just that don't be a hypocrite. And nothing is perfect, but One Piece truly Is a Masterpiece.

I don't give a f???? If someone thinks Op is sh??, what I dont get is how they can be stupid enough to stull read it if they hate half or more of it, Admirals, Yonkos, ... They are a small part of OP as of now (thoigh gradually getting more important), every OP fan should know this so how can so many just read it for moments with them? OP constantly has periods like these past 3 weeks, it has been so since the start so how the hell can someone who hates parts like these even read OP? The most common answer is that they marathoned OP and are new readers and have absolutely no idea what the difference is between weekly releases and reading the story as a whole ...

We knew Bartolomeo's barriers could change shape back in chapter 756 or so, when he made those stairs to the upper levels of the palace and the made an arced barrier to protect himself from Gladiu's explosives.

Also, on the "side character" issue. Main stars of this chapter are Bartolomeo and Cavendish, who are at very least SH allies, if not next SH members, that's far from side character. Also comparing main stars of this chapter (Barto and Cavendish) with Sai is at least to me odd. Barto and Cavendish are way more likelable character than the likes of Sai, ofc the fans of Barto or Cavendish would like this chapter more than previous.
