Ussopp beating Sugar again was good one.
After this arc Ussopp Bounty should be more than Sanji's bounty.

I doubt anyone would object although sanji has better haki

But Sugar getting taken out again....lol....her ability is way overpowered, I was hoping to see it try to be used on Luffy and his haki negating it, but I guess God Ussop kicking her ass again is funny enough.

There finally there at the top, I guess a weakened Law is going to fight snot guy or whatever his name is....and luffy doflamingo.

Wish we could seen how Sabo is going, or where the hell is the rest of the crew....but I guess we'll just have to wait.

i thought observation haki was like 3t sharingan which could predict opponent movements and make you easily dodge em.

It's said that even CoO has different kinds on how one's awakens it, whole fully depends on the user. For example, Coby, whose CoO is more dependent on his hearing.

Congrats to our God Usopp! As the great Sogeking, you deserve it, man! Now he's a step closer to be the brave (possibly the bravest) warrior of the sea. Gotta like how at first Usopp needs Violet-chwaaaaaaan's power to guide him for sniping, and while he's wishing more and more to protect Luffy, he manages to have CoO right on spot.

Ussop had to unlock CoO haki. He would be a useless sniper for New World standards had he not.

Even though Luffy and Law are standing in front of Doffy I still want a transition to the rest of the SH even for just a chapter just to see how they are doing out there.

I almost forgot about CP0 that others mentioned above. Maybe they will make an entrance after the fight and help Doffy escape? I don't know I just don't want to see Doflamingo beaten completely.

CoO isn't like sharingan. Everything that has to do with observing gets enchanced by CoO.

Coby has shown to be able to sense the death of others and Enel read Luffy's mind.

OMG this chapter, Usopp man, I hope he finally gets the recognition from the haters. His sniping just keeps getting better and it was so awesome that this felt like real sniping, Usopp being the sniper and Viola the spotter which gave him the details for the shot, and then he unlocking observation haki, Oda pls.

Now onto the fight with Luffy and Law against Trebol and Doffy, how cool was Doffy sitting in that chapter and asking them what they wanted and then feel disapointed by their answer. 5/5 thank you Oda.

I remember that during the first few chapters after the time skip there were several times spoiler transcripts on the upcoming chapter. It's still unclear whether someone intentionally mixed confirmed spoilers with made up stuff or a prediction accidentally became a 'spoiler', but either way in the chapter where they were gathering on their ship the spoilers said that Usopp was able to locate the other Strawhats because he had obtained the CoO during the time skip.

When the chapter was released it eventually became clear that that was no true, but I actually really believed it before I read the chapter as it fitted Usopp perfectly.

I wonder if this means Oda is planning for other Strawhats such a moment of 'revelation'? I got my doubts about it. Putting Luffy aside that Zoro would have gotten haki after the time skip was to be expected as without his dream would be impossible. That Sanji had it too was also quite logical seeing him being part of the Monster Trio. Usopp then also makes some sense as he is actually the only one outside Luffy and Zoro that's directly battle-oriented, which is quite ironic seeing his quite cowardly nature. He holds the position of sniper, which I personally see as a variation for having the position of cannoneer. So his 'position' is in direct relation with how he fights, unlike most other Strawhats. Being a navigator, doctor, musician or shipwright has nothing to do with fighting, so them getting a variation of haki is less likely.

Well Usopp already showed signs of CoO in the Enies Lobby arc where he could 'hear' Merry from a long way with some kind of noise. And there was another moment on top of the tower right before the canonballs hit and he jumped down to Sanji and Zoro.

Yeah, I agree with you guys. If characters are to have Haki, Oda sets them up pretty nicely. Usopp could see beyond a normal human, he could snipe extremely well, and that is not just about manual dexterity, it's also about visual acuity, the want, and, frankly, the need to see beyond others. Usopp trained in a pretty enclosed island, so he built all of his manual dexterity to the max, here was just the final, and fitting, push.

He was exerting himself, he needed to get that shot. it wasn't just that his friends were going to be endangered or even dead, it's because they would completely disappear from his mind. And that was what scared Usopp the most, after having passed that with Robin, he couldn't go through it again with Luffy. So he needed that last push that couldn't really have happened on his own during the training. He couldn't have appeared already with formed CoO, just the basis of it.


Another character than would most likely get CoO would be Nami. Because she can sense the weather far beyond anyone else. it's not just scientific knowledge, it's a gut feeling, it's intuition. And that's Haki, or at least the basis for it. And it's much more spiritual than Robin's want for knowledge of her surroundings, being a spy, and having the need to understand everything around her, and analyze the threats. But, if we were to give haki to all the characters, then those two would be most likely CoO, and it wouldn't be dissonant from what we know. Then again, CoO is much more person based than actual environment based. Nami is more about natural world, and I don't know if Haki would help out as much. Robin is a bit more person based, but, still, if she were to get CoO it would be because she had to exert herself to find out a piece of information crucial for the lives of the crew, and I don't really see that particular piece of storytelling.

Usopp's observation stuff was good, and that panel of Sugar's expression was a funny deja vu lol.
I hope Oda shows their fight next week, and I hope he doesn't switch to Robin or someone else. >_>
3.5/5 for the overall chapter and 5 for the last panel. It was great, except Doffy's dialogue. It was cliche'.
