Its one of those things that i knew but hadnt thought about and it hadn't really clicked in my head till it was laid out for me
Great Chapter. Hodi is finally doing something. I am really looking forward for Zorro's fight I can't wait to see some of the things he learned from Mihawk. & Jinbe teaming up with Sanji makes me think even more that Jinbe will join the Straw Hats.
Because if the Straw Hat's are going to fight Blackbeard's crew 1 on 1 then they need 1 more member & I think they need that member before they go to the New World so think it has to be Jinbe at this point.

It's easy to tell that someone will probably be joining the straw hats toward the end of this arc, but it seems unlikely that Jinbe will because his bounty is apparently more than 400 million, higher than Luffy's. I really don't think a crew member ever should have more bounty than the captain.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have meat instead of stars in the rating system?xd(for example one meat,two meat....like in bleach one strawberry and so forth)Just a suggestion!

Well, when I'm lucky to post the thread, I usually take something of significance from the chapter. Normally, people go with 1 Strawhat, 2 Strawhat, etc type of rating. I guess Love Cook just likes * better.
Alrighty something came to my head when I was reading this chapter and was waiting to see if anyone else woulda noticed it.....and so far nobody has mentioned it.
What it is.....is the exact resemblance of two of the major match ups in this fight.....
Zoro is fighting a Swordsman Octopus
Luffy is fighting a Shark with a Superiority Complex

Now that's something I never thought about. Following that line of thought, we need a Taijutsu Master Fishmen for Sanji, possibly Wadatsumi would fill that spot, and a Marksmen Fishmen for Usopp, which would probably mean VDD isn't quite dead yet

That's always the case, I already said it in my previous post O_O Luffy always fights the enemies leader and Zoro always fights the 2nd strongest, who's always a swordsman. From the moment they said that Hyouzou was the strongest swordsman of FI it was obvious that Zoro would fight him and that Luffy would fight Hodi.
Kaku, Hacchi, Daz Bones, Ryuuma, the guy from Skypiea...those were all swordsman and most of them were always the 2nd strongest and that applies for Hyouzou too.

No. He meant that Hodi is a powered up version of Arlong, and Hyozu is a powered up version of Hacchi. And I meant that Sanji is to fight a powered up version of Kuroobi and Usopp a powered up version of Chew.
Also, something that has caught my attention reading One Piece Wiki, Shirahoshi appears to be the second person that Luffy openly admits he doesn't like for being coward, the first being Cody (And they're both pink haired xd).
This along with the cover being also re-used, draws a nice parallel between how they had to fight to enter the 1st Half of Grand Line and how they're fighting now to enter the 2nd Half. It's nice to see. Hopefully the similarities will end here, and I'm sure they will, but I like how Oda is doing things.
(Except, of course, Surume being one-shot and Nami falling over from air pressure -_-)

That was Dosun and Ikaros, we don't know if they were fully taken out or not seeing as their attacks were intercepted by Zoro and Sanji.....though I could be wrong I would need to go back to that chapter xd

Somehow i suspect we wont see as many 1 v 1 fights in this arc, or if we do, they will end fairly quickly, the reason i dont think that we will see many 1v1 is because its too onesided in the SH favor in my opinion but maybe we will to show off everyones individual fighting prowess
