This is also a very long read. I will rep anyone who reads to the end of Lor D. Jays excellent theory.
(And yes this is 100% word for word what he said.)
Ancient/Old Age
Centuries and ages ago, there was a time that "certain peoples" have lived on the moon, they have they own civilization and way
of living. It was said that their city is named "Birka". The Birkan's have a unique characteristic, they have wings and has an advance
technology and way of living to survive on the moon.

6 moons and history
In OP World, there are 6 moons that are different from each other on size, design/structure etc etc... So which moon actually does these people lived?

So as you can see, there are 6 different moons that circle arround the world. There is also a moon that has its own moon! a moon with a
moon I believe that each moon has different "shape" when seen on Earth, that each shape (moon's shape) corresponds to a different
moon. Here are pictures to help explain:

I believe the D-shaped moon is the Fairy Vearth where Birka,- the ancient civilization lies. Five (5) out six (6) moon's name were unknown, except for one (1) which is the Fairy Vearth, -this was according to Enel/Eneru and few people from Sky Piea.
~~~There are actually 2 Birka, one is the Ancient Civilization on the moon, and the other one is the hometown of Enel/Eneru located
on far west of Sky Piea. Birka (hometown of enel) was destroyed by Enel 8 years ago (OP time) and started to occupy God's Island as his
territory and made himself as the God of Sky Piea for 8 years.

Oda is amazing, yes?! YES HE IS!! he gave hints that we fans didn't actually notice. And as you can see, ruins of a city exist on the moon
(fairy vearth), So as you can see, the Birkans left their "creations" on their homeland, so it means that life on the moon existed.. a very
long time ago.The D-shaped moon was first seen on Sky Piea, when descendants of Siandoran's are talking about their HOME..
coincidents? I think not. I believe that the D-shaped half moon in the manga chapter 253: Vearth, page 18, 3rd panel is a clue!!
Vearth
According to Miss Conis, a citizen of Sky Piea, Vearth was the "hero" of the sky island,- Sky Piea. We all know that a "man" should have done "something good" to be called as a "hero". So what did Vearth do?? Any good guess?
I believe that Vearth was the last King/God/Leader of the civilization of Birka on the moon at that time. Vearth and his people on the moon
(maybe) were facing great danger , they have encountered a huge problem. Maybe they encountered food shortage, and/or their species is
about to extinct or something like that. So Vearth along with his officers have come-up with a plan, a plan to search for a new place to live
in. They have decided to use "(space/flying) ships", each "ship" corresponds to a different group (ex: group of Vearth, Group of 2nd in
command, Group of 3rd in command etc etc).

The Evacuation
So the citizens of the moon succeeded on finding a place for them to live in, they have landed on Earth. Some group landed on Sky Island, and some landed on the surface of the Earth.
I think the "group of the 3nd in command" have landed on Sky Island. They later form their own civilization on Sky Island and named it as the Sky Piea. They have even made a "statue" for Vearth to honor him.

The "group of the 2nd in command" have landed in Grand Line on an island that has a shape of a skull, Jaya. They also formed their own civilization and continued living. They have created a City of Gold on the island, and named their kingdom as the Siandora Kingdom.
A few years later, their are slowly vanishing, I have 2 explanations about this.. 1. is that the Birkan's (citizens of the moon) had married with the citizens of Earth and bare a child, this process was done ages and ages ago until the wings are completely gone, 2. is that the wings of the citizens of the moon has completely gone because of natural coping ability of ones body, their body somehow adjust on a certain place and condition, that wings on the surface of the Earth is somehow "useless", that's why it is completely gone- this also explains the creature of the Blue Seas that ride along on the "knock-up stream" and landed on Sky Piea sea.. these creatures have somehow acquired a light weight body enabling them to live and survive in the sky,. and south birds in the sky seems to be bigger than the south birds on the surface of the Earth found on Jaya.... so these explanations are possible
There also comes a time that the descendants of Birkan's on Siandora had completely outnumbered by the citizens of the Earth, and they haven't share or pass down the information about their history to their indirect descendants.. these explains the descendants of Siandoran's on Sky Island completely uninformed about their culture and history, they're just guarding the ancient tablet (Phoneglyps) for 402 years and didn't know their true history, history of Birkans of the moon.

I believe Vearth's group had landed somewhere in New World. They continued living and started their own civilization along with the people of Earth. Later, they named their kingdom as "E-Piece (the AK)" and started to get along with other countries. The time comes that their wings are slowly vanishing, they wanted to identify their descendants so they came up with an idea, since they all came from the moon, and they have realized the Fairy Vearth had a shape of "D" when seen here on Earth, they put "D's" as middle initial for the next generation of their line age (their descendants), so that their species won't just be a part of history. As the "AK" slowly gaining its reputation, and so few kingdoms have started to gain interest on AK's technology and knowledge. The people of AK have seen this great danger and started to make a move, come-up with a plan to protect their history and culture, the plan of "Phoneglyps". And so the chosen "D" peoples have scattered around the world and started building the phoneglyps on different places in order protect their history.. (this also explains the reason why the D's are found everywhere, but only few of them exist now)
Other groups of Birkans had landed on some other Sky Island, Uroge,- one of the Supernova, lived on a Sky Island (not Sky Piea) but not mentioned something about its name. So Uroge is also a descendant.
(there was an aricle that says : "watch out for the moons activity" - by Oda.. I believe I've seen this on one of the SBS volumes, but I can't find it now -_- that's the reason why I think the moons shape have something to do with the D's)
The War
I think the war started 4-5 years after the start of the void century. The 20 strong kingdoms allied together and started a war against AK. The AK has no choice but to protect its kingdom. It is said that the AK has an advance technology and are some kind of "genius" (on that time). So they (AK) have created a weapon that will help them to defend.. these weapons are the "Devil Fruits",- these weapons is for everyone, if eaten, the person will gain an ability. The devil fruits was "perfectly created", BUT for the AK (Birka) citizens only (along with the D people and other "indirect" descendants), for they can use the devil fruit ability on its full extent.. they can use 3 types of devil fruit on a single body, but on that time, war is on going so training and practicing new ability is hard, so training become rush and resulted to deaths of many AK citizens...
So time passed by and the war still on going,.. many devil fruit users have died, because it was so sudden, the user of devil fruits
don't have enough time to train with their new ability. And so the "allied force" (alliance of 20 kingdoms) have gained the devil fruits (devil fruits are re-spawned on the nearest normal fruit after the user dies) and used them against its creators.. Siandora was also attacked by the 20 allied kingdoms.. 800 years ago, the stone tablet "Phoneglyps" had been guarded by the Siandorans as seen on these pictures:

Norland Monbran/Roland Monbran
Norland Monbran is a character on one of the legends in North Blue. he was "said to be" the greatest liar in the world. 402 years ago (OP Time) Norland was an adventurer, he was ordered to discover new islands, civilizations etc etc. On one of his journeys, he accidentally discovered the Kingdom of Siandora, he was amazed by the City of Gold, he also have a theory about Sky Island but didn't have enough proof to support his theory. So he rushed on his homeland and reported his whole discoveries on his adventure, his king was surprised and decided to ask Norland to guide his majesty's soldiers back to the City of Gold. But unfortunately, when Norland and the soldiers arrived at the "site", they seen no Gold City of Syandora..Norland said that the City of Gold had sunk under the deep blue sea but actually it was on the sky. Later then he was convicted for the crime of lying.
~~~This is the time when the part of Jaya, kingdom of Siandora had been sent flying on the Sky Piea by the knock-up stream and since
then it was part of the Sky Piea.The Siandoran's then gained another enemy, -the Sky Piean's, for they (Sky Pieans) occupy their(Siandorans)
"home" and named it as God's Island, Upper Yard, Sky Pieans also named the "Dirt/Earth" as "Basu/Vearth"
The Prophecy
Prophecy is a "legend" of some kind.. these prophecies are found on every civilization that has a strong cultural values.
Ancient Weapons
There is no doubt that the Ancient Kingdoms are the ones who built the "Ancient Weapons",-namely: Uranus, Poseidon, Pluton. Pluton is said to be a warship that has a capability to destroy massive lands. Poseidon is somehow composed of person + monsters + a ship, the Mermaid Princess Shirahoshi that can talk to sea kings and the Noah. Uranus is still a mystery for now, no one knows what this ancient weapon's capabilities. I believe that the Ancient Kingdom has some sort of "Prophecy", these prophecies are often written on papers, scrolls etc etc.. but these time, AK have written their Prophecy on their walls. Take a peek on this picture:

This image is to show that the "plans of ancient weapons" have been recorded on the moon.I think the writings on the wall has a better
and wider view, the whole prophecy was recorded there.. that the 3 ancient weapons are for greater purpose.. If there is a prophecy,
there should also be a "hero", the hero who will make the Prophecy real (I guess we all know who this man is ) I also believe that the Devil Fruits are the keys on choosing the "hero of the prophecy(chosen one)", that if a descendant of the Birkan's who will acquire 3 types of devil fruit will have a chance to be the "hero". The hero should also have the "hearing abilities".The AK didn't want to use these Ancient Weapons to gain territories and/or use as a weapon to protect their kingdom, but it was for the destruction of massive lands but for greater purposes... The Birkans build the Ancient Weapons on the moon, they believed that "someone (hero)" will use these weapons to destroy massive lands on their home (moon, Fairy Vearth), but they where wrong, the massive lands the prophecy is talking about is not on their first home (moon), but on their second home (OP world) but then again for greater purposes!
~~~ I believe that the first Poseidon is a Birka citizen with the monster and the noah, and when the AK decided to do the "Phoneglyp plan"
one of them was actually Poseidon and accidentally landed on Fishman Island (FI).. since then he/she made the phoneglyp on FI and decided
stay there, when poseidon was about to die, his will was passed down to a mermaid and become the second poseidon., this process was done generation by generation until the appointed time.Same goes for the Uranus and Pluton I think.. the Pluton blueprint information was accidentally passed down to the Alabasta (Alabasta is one of the 20 kingdoms that annihilated the AK), but the process of protecting
the phoneglyp was kept secret by the Kings of Alabasta, and the true blueprints was given to the descendants of Tom and later it was given
Tom and later to Franky (Cutty Flam)..Uranus still a mystery.. I don't have an idea where did Roger found the Uranus and later given to
Dragon.
Present time.
World Government
24 years ago, the 20 strong kingdoms emerged victorious against the Ancient Kingdom, and later, they formed the World Government (WG).
WG is the one who implement justice in OP world. They are the rulers of the world, in technical terms. Even though WG won against AK, they still wanted to have a hold of the 3 ancient weapons, either to protect their territories, government, their past, or their future? They are the "bad guys in nature" for they implement "false justice", maybe good in a way but very bad on a different point of view for it (WG) limits ones action and rights. They know that they didn't annihilated all the descendants of the Ancient Kingdom (The D's) that scattered around the world, so I guess they (WG) were afraid to the D's when somehow if they (D's) learned their true history, they (D's) will create havoc and use the three ancient weapons, declare war and completely destroy their government. WG suppressed any information about AK to leak, they even annihilated the scholars of Ohara by decoding the phoneglyps, and for studying the history of the Void Century.. And later, Oharan's where called "Devils of Ohara". The WG also hides the location of the Ancient Kingdom..and I think they (WG) even replace its (AK) name with another one so that no one will ever know the true history.
Gol D. Roger
23 years ago Roger almost conquered everything..He was a very known pirate at this time, he was known as Gold Roger instead of his actual name (I think the Marines did this to hide the existence of the D's), he met Ganfall on Sky Piea and leave markings on the Phoneglyps,.. sailed on the New world and reached Raftel.. I believe that the Island Raftel was the island where the ruins of AK resides.. and that Raftel was actually
"E-Piece", and that E-piece was replaced by the name Raftel by the World Governent.
During this time he was announced as the Pirate King, he met Whitebeard, they drinked sake and Roger told everything about his treasure and the true meaning of his D...
Roger have learned the history of the void century, and have concluded, but he can't do anything.. but why? he was the Pirate King yet there is a thing that he can't do. I believe he don't have a devil fruit ability, the reason why he can't do anything.. So he decided to turn himself to the Marines.. when he was about to execute, he mentioned this words:
"My fortune is yours for the taking... but you'll have to find it first I left everything I own on that place! Raftel, One Piece!"

So Roger's treasure was on that place .. I believe that Roger pronounced the "on E-Piece" as "One Piece".. he pronounced it like the way the Marines pronounced his name he did not say: "On E Piece" so that a new era will come, and the people would think that Roger's
treasure is called One Piece.It was for encouragement but he know, someday and people will take his "will" and challenge the World again.I think these people.. yeah you read it right, Roger was not waiting for a single person.. he was waiting for these people who can
make his dream come true, "Turning the world upside down" he was waiting for the Mugiwaras!! especially Luffy and Nico Robin
Remember the old man that was killed by Spandam (I forgot his name), he was about to mention the name of Ancient Kingdom..but he was killed before he mentioned it..so close!!!!
Legendary Pirate Eddward "Whitebeard" Newgate... he know what really the One Piece is.. and the meaning of D.. before he was about to get killed, he mentioned this words:
" One Piece does exist!!!! "
I think this is to honor his friend,-late pirate king Gol D Roger, to encourage the new era of pirates as well as the D's to challenge the World Government, that the WG will fall someday by their hands but in a better purpose. He proved that One Piece exist!
Monkey D. Dragon
Leader of the Revolution, some say he is a devil fruit user, some say haki only user.. his capabilities are still unknown. But I believe is that Dragon don't have a devil fruit ability.. remember the time he saved someone in Goa Kingdom? he was seen soaked in the sea water! Devil fruit users are proved to be weak against sea water, they are being rejected by the sea itself, so it's a big NO for Dragon having a devil fruit ability. What I believe is that Monkey D. Dragon is in possession and complete control of one of the Ancient Weapon,- Uranus, this was after Roger's death, cos I also believe that Roger was the last "owner" of the
Uranus before Dragon, maybe Dragon and Roger met somewhere in the past before Roger turned himself into the Marines, and later Roger gave the Uranus to Dragon for unknown reason. Rumor says that Uranus has the "power/ability" to control weather, no one is sure about
this, it is still unknown what Uranus' capabilities, so for now lets just use the theory of Uranus can control the weather. Remember the episode where Dragon is in Louge Town? I believe he was the one responsible for the sudden change of weather in Louge Town, He used the Uranus' ability.. BUT he was not the one who "did" the "lightning effect" that strikes Buggy and Luffy on the execution flatporm.. I think it was just pure luck. There are plenty of times that Luffy was on a dangerous situation but always survive cos his lucky, if Dragon can do lightning to strike a person, and can use haki, why did he come and saved luffy in person if he can strike Smoker with lightning imbued with haki?
Besides in OP World, some pirates considered "luck" as an ability, just like the Blackbeard pirates: Dragon having in possession of Uranus also explains why the World Government announced Dragon as the most wanted man.
Sharley's prediction
Madame Shirley is a well known mermaid on Fishman Island, her predictions have gained reputation and even marked as 100% true. She
even predicted WB's death.. her last prediction was: "A man with a strawhat will certainly destroy Fishman Island."

Lor D. Jay's Prediction.
When Luffy is close on gaining the title of Pirate King, his crew along with the Revolutionary army and every allies they (Mugiwara
crew) met on their past adventures will gather, form an alliance.. these alliance will declare war on the World Government. The war will start after the 6 moons aligned with the sun and forming an eclipse.Its like history repeat itself but with a twist, the Word Government is like the AK now. The Ancient Weapons will be used to destroy some parts of the Redline. So the Birkan's prophecy is coming for real!

-- and lastly,, Luffy will gain 2 more devil fruit abilities..learn to master his haki, he will be the Pirate King (I'd just like to point out that this part of the theory in my opinion is completely retarded. He cannot have 2 devil fruits regardless of what Lor D. Jay said).
Oda himself said that One Piece story is not on its half yet (correct me if I'm wrong), that maybe 5-6 more years after the conclusion of One Piece.. so Luffy having 2 devil fruit abilities is possible.. if someone will say that Luffy's fighting style will change.. why not? life is a continues learning even Zoro learned how to use flying sword style (he first used this style on Sky Piea, duel with Oumo) on his journey with Luffy, so its
possible.
Note: I wanted to attach a picture regarding the destruction of massive lands by the Ancient weapon but this may feel like I copied my
theory from another one (I'm talking about the other theory about "project One Piece" Pretty sure it's Ziggy Z he spoke about now...) guys this and that theory is different yeah the "project One Piece theory on another forum site" is to destroy some lands on Redline, that's also what i wanted to show you, the same idea on
destroying the Redline but different in whole theory.
Conclusion:

It is said that the AK has an advance technology and are some kind of "genius" (on that time). So they (AK) have created a weapon that will help them to defend.. these weapons are the "Devil Fruits",- these weapons is for everyone, if eaten, the person will gain an ability. The devil fruits was "perfectly created", BUT for the AK (Birka) citizens only (along with the D people and other "indirect" descendants), for they can use the devil fruit ability on its full extent.. they can use 3 types of devil fruit on a single body, but on that time, war is on going so training and practicing new ability is hard, so training become rush and resulted to deaths of many AK citizens...
So time passed by and the war still on going,.. many devil fruit users have died, because it was so sudden, the user of devil fruits
don't have enough time to train with their new ability. And so the "allied force" (alliance of 20 kingdoms) have gained the devil fruits (devil fruits are re-spawned on the nearest normal fruit after the user dies) and used them against its creators.. Siandora was also attacked by the 20 allied kingdoms.. 800 years ago, the stone tablet "Phoneglyps" had been guarded by the Siandorans as seen on these pictures:

As you can see on the fourth panel, the Siandorian's are having a war with the "enemies", I believe the Siandorans are referring to the 20 allied kingdoms as their enemies.

Norland Monbran/Roland Monbran
Norland Monbran is a character on one of the legends in North Blue. he was "said to be" the greatest liar in the world. 402 years ago (OP Time) Norland was an adventurer, he was ordered to discover new islands, civilizations etc etc. On one of his journeys, he accidentally discovered the Kingdom of Siandora, he was amazed by the City of Gold, he also have a theory about Sky Island but didn't have enough proof to support his theory. So he rushed on his homeland and reported his whole discoveries on his adventure, his king was surprised and decided to ask Norland to guide his majesty's soldiers back to the City of Gold. But unfortunately, when Norland and the soldiers arrived at the "site", they seen no Gold City of Syandora..Norland said that the City of Gold had sunk under the deep blue sea but actually it was on the sky. Later then he was convicted for the crime of lying.

Prophecy is a "legend" of some kind.. these prophecies are found on every civilization that has a strong cultural values.
Ancient Weapons
There is no doubt that the Ancient Kingdoms are the ones who built the "Ancient Weapons",-namely: Uranus, Poseidon, Pluton. Pluton is said to be a warship that has a capability to destroy massive lands. Poseidon is somehow composed of person + monsters + a ship, the Mermaid Princess Shirahoshi that can talk to sea kings and the Noah. Uranus is still a mystery for now, no one knows what this ancient weapon's capabilities. I believe that the Ancient Kingdom has some sort of "Prophecy", these prophecies are often written on papers, scrolls etc etc.. but these time, AK have written their Prophecy on their walls. and wider view, the whole prophecy was recorded there.. that the 3 ancient weapons are for greater purpose.. If there is a prophecy,
there should also be a "hero", the hero who will make the Prophecy real (I guess we all know who this man is ) I also believe that the Devil Fruits are the keys on choosing the "hero of the prophecy(chosen one)", that if a descendant of the Birkan's who will acquire 3 types of devil fruit will have a chance to be the "hero". The hero should also have the "hearing abilities".The AK didn't want to use these Ancient Weapons to gain territories and/or use as a weapon to protect their kingdom, but it was for the destruction of massive lands but for greater purposes... The Birkans build the Ancient Weapons on the moon, they believed that "someone (hero)" will use these weapons to destroy massive lands on their home (moon, Fairy Vearth), but they where wrong, the massive lands the prophecy is talking about is not on their first home (moon), but on their second home (OP world) but then again for greater purposes!

World Government
24 years ago, the 20 strong kingdoms emerged victorious against the Ancient Kingdom, and later, they formed the World Government (WG).
WG is the one who implement justice in OP world. They are the rulers of the world, in technical terms. Even though WG won against AK, they still wanted to have a hold of the 3 ancient weapons, either to protect their territories, government, their past, or their future? They are the "bad guys in nature" for they implement "false justice", maybe good in a way but very bad on a different point of view for it (WG) limits ones action and rights. They know that they didn't annihilated all the descendants of the Ancient Kingdom (The D's) that scattered around the world, so I guess they (WG) were afraid to the D's when somehow if they (D's) learned their true history, they (D's) will create havoc and use the three ancient weapons, declare war and completely destroy their government. WG suppressed any information about AK to leak, they even annihilated the scholars of Ohara by decoding the phoneglyps, and for studying the history of the Void Century.. And later, Oharan's where called "Devils of Ohara". The WG also hides the location of the Ancient Kingdom..and I think they (WG) even replace its (AK) name with another one so that no one will ever know the true history.

23 years ago Roger almost conquered everything..He was a very known pirate at this time, he was known as Gold Roger instead of his actual name (I think the Marines did this to hide the existence of the D's), he met Ganfall on Sky Piea and leave markings on the Phoneglyps,.. sailed on the New world and reached Raftel.. I believe that the Island Raftel was the island where the ruins of AK resides.. and that Raftel was actually
"E-Piece", and that E-piece was replaced by the name Raftel by the World Governent.
During this time he was announced as the Pirate King, he met Whitebeard, they drinked sake and Roger told everything about his treasure and the true meaning of his D...
Roger have learned the history of the void century, and have concluded, but he can't do anything.. but why? he was the Pirate King yet there is a thing that he can't do. I believe he don't have a devil fruit ability, the reason why he can't do anything.. So he decided to turn himself to the Marines.. when he was about to execute, he mentioned this words:

I think this is to honor his friend,-late pirate king Gol D Roger, to encourage the new era of pirates as well as the D's to challenge the World Government, that the WG will fall someday by their hands but in a better purpose. He proved that One Piece exist!
Monkey D. Dragon
Leader of the Revolution, some say he is a devil fruit user, some say haki only user.. his capabilities are still unknown. But I believe is that Dragon don't have a devil fruit ability.. remember the time he saved someone in Goa Kingdom? he was seen soaked in the sea water! Devil fruit users are proved to be weak against sea water, they are being rejected by the sea itself, so it's a big NO for Dragon having a devil fruit ability. What I believe is that Monkey D. Dragon is in possession and complete control of one of the Ancient Weapon,- Uranus, this was after Roger's death, cos I also believe that Roger was the last "owner" of the
Uranus before Dragon, maybe Dragon and Roger met somewhere in the past before Roger turned himself into the Marines, and later Roger gave the Uranus to Dragon for unknown reason. Rumor says that Uranus has the "power/ability" to control weather, no one is sure about
this, it is still unknown what Uranus' capabilities, so for now lets just use the theory of Uranus can control the weather. Remember the episode where Dragon is in Louge Town? I believe he was the one responsible for the sudden change of weather in Louge Town, He used the Uranus' ability.. BUT he was not the one who "did" the "lightning effect" that strikes Buggy and Luffy on the execution flatporm.. I think it was just pure luck. There are plenty of times that Luffy was on a dangerous situation but always survive cos his lucky, if Dragon can do lightning to strike a person, and can use haki, why did he come and saved luffy in person if he can strike Smoker with lightning imbued with haki?
Besides in OP World, some pirates considered "luck" as an ability, just like the Blackbeard pirates: Dragon having in possession of Uranus also explains why the World Government announced Dragon as the most wanted man.

Madame Shirley is a well known mermaid on Fishman Island, her predictions have gained reputation and even marked as 100% true. She

Oda himself said that One Piece story is not on its half yet (correct me if I'm wrong), that maybe 5-6 more years after the conclusion of One Piece.. so Luffy having 2 devil fruit abilities is possible.. if someone will say that Luffy's fighting style will change.. why not? life is a continues learning even Zoro learned how to use flying sword style (he first used this style on Sky Piea, duel with Oumo) on his journey with Luffy, so its
possible.
Note: I wanted to attach a picture regarding the destruction of massive lands by the Ancient weapon but this may feel like I copied my
