WTF!!! Rob Lucci is in the movie?? That's Hype, he just made an appearance not too long ago and already he's been given significant role in the movie.

If Luffy and Lucci met in the movie, how Oda gonna make it look like in the original story of the manga? Oda can't mess and mix both manga and movie.

I really hope Oda makes it quicker to make Luffy encounter coby and rob lucci before the movie releases and if not, it's gonna make it look like fillers with retcons. Seriously remember when Bloodprison releases and they screwed with the timeline.

It can't happen. Movies of all things can't have main characters encounter with manga antagonist. Not until the manga ends and some last piece to complete the circle of the plot comes from a movie, The LAST Movie. While the manga is still on-going it can not have key-characters such as Coby, Garp, Yonkou, Kizaru, Akainu, Shichibukai, Lucci and his likes meet StrawHats. There are followers of One Piece who stick to just reading the manga since their "BURF" (bearth).

Bet on it. Lucci won't meet Luffy.

Aokiji met Luffy in film Z for the first time after the war again and revealed his new design in that movie, which was accurate to how he was looking at Punk Hazard shortly after that.

If Oda is working on the movie you can't just deny what is happening in the movies. Just like the characters of Shiki and Z turned out to be canon and Oda dropped hints about the 7th Shichibukai.

If Oda is working on the movie you can't just deny what is happening in the movies. Just like the characters of Shiki and Z turned out to be canon and Oda dropped hints about the 7th Shichibukai.

^^^ Don't listen to him. The movies aren't canon. The same way characters keep their designs in other filler and movie material, Kuzan kept the design Oda wanted in the movie, which has been proven to not be canon.

Because the movies aren't canon, Oda and the team are pretty much able to do whatever they want without consequence, like breaking the timeline or making Gear 2 look nothing like the manga and having Luffy meet characters he hasn't met yet, etc.

OK. Fair enough about Kuzan. I have to say, if GOLD movie yet again takes place before Punk-Hazard, then Oda can throw whatever plot he wants. Though I feel the movie is going to be after Punk-Hazard. How about there will be no existance of Law with the StrawHats. You think the same mistake will happen again like how they did with 3rd movie and "Episode of Chopper"? Franky and Robin in Drum-Island. No Vivi. Chopper new to the crew. How these two movies happened? I would understand if it is marketing, which ruined the animation for me after Thriller Bark.

Or they could do exactly that then use a few panels for a flashback of them at the casino and move on. I.E. Luffy runs into Lucci, Luffy to Lucci "Ah it's you, I haven't seen you since the casino" flash back panels, move on with story. It's rather simple.
