One Piece: Gigant Battle 2: New World, developed by Ganbarion and published by Namco Bandai Games, was released November 17, 2011 in Japan. During it’s first week at Japanese retailers, the week of November 14 to November 20th, the game sold a huge 116,062 copies! Well, thanks to Japanese analytics company MediaCreate has released the sales figures for week 2 and 3 too!
For the week of November 21 to November 27, 27,379 copies of One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 were sold. And then in week three, from November 28 to December 04, another 16,915 copies of the game flew off the shelves! In total Japan has picked up 160, 356 copies of the game! Those are excellent numbers, especially for a game on the last generation of handhelds, Nintendo DS.
