My name is Jeremy, and I recently became an official NarutoBase member. I've been a "Base" fan for quite some time but I never had the chance to make an actual account. Today I will be presenting a theory in regards to One Piece Chapter 838's cover page. Please, keep in mind that this will be my very first time creating a forum/theory. I will try my very best to support my theory by providing text, pictures and more from the One piece series to further explain this particular theory. With being said, I hope you guys enjoy. In this particular theory, we will be focusing on the text which is found at the bottom of Chapter 838's cover page
"AT A WEDDING THAT TAKES PLACE WITHIN THE RUINS OF A CERTAIN ISLAND"
Now, a few of you may be wondering, whats so important about this cover page, particularly its text? But the real question is, who's wedding is so important that even the infamous Shanks and Red Hair pirates would attend?!
Upon reviewing this particular cover page, two things caught my attention.
1. The cross which can be seen behind Shanks in the background.
2. The word "RUINS" which is used to describe the location of the wedding.
Now, my question to you is, what particular character in the One Piece universe comes to mind when you see a cross and/or hear the word "Ruins"?! That's right...
Yes, upon hearing and/or thinking of it, it may seem impossible to believe; however, the idea of Mihawk getting married isn't as far-fetched as it may seem. After all, Mihawk has been in the presence of a female for a minimum of 2 years.
If this particular theory is in fact true, this would explain Shanks involvement in the wedding. After all, Mihawk and Shanks have been rivals and very good friends for quite a long time. There charecter designs can also serve as a correlation between the two. Perona's charecter design compliments that of Mihawks. They both give off a cool gothic vibe.
