Look at Bleach and than look at One Piece....Oda puts in so much work.....not to mention last 3 or 4 chapters have been crazy good and if oda needs the time to relax than so be......rather have quality over quantity.....at least he only takes 1-2 week break not taking1-2 year hiatus after 1o chapter-an arc....

Because when he did not take breaks, he got put in the hospital because of it. His doctor has now recommended him a new schedule to follow. This new schedule involves breaks.

The breaks are there so he doesn't kill himself. Its as simple as that.

Did you now seriously compare OP to Bleach in that aspect? A single OP chapter of 14 pages contains more info than 3 Bleach chapters of 18 pages. It would be ludicrous if Bleach would start taking breaks all the time when the story progresses at a snail pace and that there isn't much detail in the artwork. There have been instances where Kubo used an entire page for a single hand on a black background. For the record these breaks are not holidays where Oda goes to the beach to relax, he is using that time for the series. Quality requires time and effort, otherwise what you get is...Bleach.

It could be worse, OP could have naruto syndrome and just do whole chapters devoted too flashbacks that have been shown 25 times before, or worse flash back to an event that happened one chapter before..problem is every anime/manga has its draw backs, be it the occasional break, tons of filler, flash back repetition, or snails pace..in the grand scheme of things OP is doing it right just be patient

I don't see the need to be so harsh with Bleach. It much like One Piece, has it's own art and style of work. As for the One Piece break, well, atleast we got Bleach this week.

They are all connected, hence a comparison makes no sense. It simply takes much more time to make a story with a complex plot and countless subplots with incredibly detailed artwork and panels than a story with a very straightforward plot with artwork that's void of details. Taking breaks is not something independent from all of this.

Your comparison is simply wrong.
