This year's 31st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Monday is teasing that Eiichiro Oda's One Piece franchise is getting 10 "big projects" for the manga's 20th anniversary. The magazine's 33rd issue on July 15 will feature announcements regarding the 10 projects.

The manga's official 20th anniversary is on July 22, and so the 33rd issue of Weekly Shonen Jump will be the manga's 20th anniversary commemoration issue. The 31st issue also teases that something will happen on July 22.

The One Piece anime will have a new two-hour special titled One Piece Episode of East Blue: Luffy to 4-nin no Nakama no Daibōken (pictured at right) on August 26. The special will be a completely new work, featuring reanimated scenes from the beginning of the series through when the crew enters the Grand Line. One Piece is also getting its own three-issue magazine starting on July 7 to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

Oda's original manga has 350 million copies in print in Japan and 66 million copies in print outside of Japan. Shueisha published the manga's 85th volume on May 2, and will publish the 86th volume on AugustThis year's 31st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Monday is teasing that Eiichiro Oda's One Piece franchise is getting 10 "big projects" for the manga's 20th anniversary. So there is someone who worked day and night for 20 years to give you weekly enjoyment and you can't be bothered to read 5 paragraphs about the 20 year One Piece anniversary ?

What is the point of leaving a comment then in the first place, just to be a rude dickhead ?

On-topic:

Thanks for posting this, I'm genuinely excited to see everything related to the anniversary. Can't wait for the anime special. Also hope to see Ace's special soon. And I hope some mangaka make some cross-overs again or tribute artwork about One Piece in their style.

The amount of copies sold is staggering, nothing comes close to those numbers. Without a doubt the #1 manga.

Only crossovers that should've exist were Dragon Ball & Toriko so I don't think OP will have another crossover. I really want to see the tribute art. That will be fun to see.
