They represent such characters in their appearences , alias' , personality and interests and in the cases of Robin and Brook their history is based off of fiction.

Shiliew = Yasunori Kato from Teito Monogatari
Sanjuan Wolf is one of two characters within the crew I couldn't find a link with real criminals or a fictional character
Vasco Shot = Vasco da Gama
Caterina Devon is one of two characters within the crew I couldn't find a link with real criminals or a fictional character
Avalo Pizarro = Ávalos and the Pizarro brothers

Monet is actually quite high ranked. She was trusted by the King of Dressrosa and the top dog in the underworld. And also trusted by Caeser.

The Shichibukai originally had an animal theme. Moriahs theme was not Lizard like. However: Komori = Bat

He's definitely a Gecko. Hence the vampire-like appearence and theme. With the move "brick bat" and Komori in his name. Komori translates to bat.
