[Discussion] One Piece Anime quality

Wanted to see what you guys feel regards the Anime nowadays.
For me it is really sad seeing the Anime going down like this and making fans that grew up with it, just sticking to the Manga.

I had a break from the Anime and thought to catch up on the episodes of this arc again, but got disappointed.
They drag it out, put effortless fillers in the canon scenes, the animation/art is just made lazy. I remember the glory days of it, for example Water 7, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark or Sabaody.

Here are some pics that i found that tells exactly why the OP fans start to complain about the Anime. (and these are just few of them)

Now what do you guys think. Is it okay what Toei delivers for the fans, or do you agree that this arc doesn't get what it deserves.

after white beard it slowed down. i didnt like how they changed the damage and story from manga to anime in whitebeard arc.
fish man island and now its slow they could define the points and improve but they do just hat the manga does. also in the manga the action is boom in your face in the anime its over to quick

It's funny how the worst possible quality in OP is usually still better then Naruto's anime quality lolz.
It's not like there are many occasions that the quality in OP goes down beyond salvage, atleast from what I've seen, and I've seen every episode of OP until date.

PS: I also prefer the manga over anime

I only watch the anime and really like it.I don't notice the filler unless it's a whole episode with it.

This is the worst arc from Toei. I watch it from time to time but don't enjoy it anymore.
That's why Manga >>>>>> Anime. I don't have hope for it to get better.

Anyway I think every Op fan can admit that OP anime is not living up considering how good the manga is, we can all atdmit some episodes are just f'in terrible

That is why i said more to it rather than just the animation. The pics i posted were about the art and an example for what is going wrong with the Anime. (it's just one of the things what Toei isn't doing well, which i stated in my post)

Lol ? Watchop is prob. the worst. I used to watch my OP episodes on watchop for quite a while, till I started watching the episodes on onepieceofficial and noticed a HUGE difference.

The animation is still pretty bad for that scene (not as bad as the art).

OT: Tbh, I agree. Only MF was animated quite well entirely (ignoring the censorship) but it was most likely because MF was the best selling arc/manga-volume. Btw, watch the latest episode of OP. The animation & art was amazing, which is a problem... The OP animation/art isn't bad, it's just really inconsistent.

Agree with ★Corazon,
the only problem about One Piece anime version is the inconsistency. Several scenes are indeed praiseworthy, to the point that some of them truly surpass the manga version. Soundtracks are awesome and they can stir up our emotions tbh, especially the new BGMs regardless the art.

Talk about art, it's the most obvious factor to the declined/increased quality of its animation. Depends.

From a business standpoint it doesn't really make much sense to give OP amazing animation & art each week consistently. OP will always attract a lot of views (regardless of animation/art) and it's usually in the top 10 anime ratings weekly from what I've heard, so it's better for Toei to focus their time & effort with lesser known series. You also have to consider how expensive it is to animate a single episode AND OP isn't the only thing Toei is working on. Have you seen sailor moon crystal? The animation & art is amazing. I get what you mean, Toei needs to put in a bit more effort into making the episodes but that doesn't mean it has to be amazing. I was surprised at how good the animation/art was for this week's ep. IMO if they keep up the animation quality from FI, I'm fine. Pacing is the biggest issue with the OP anime, it can ruin a lot of moments in the manga. If they're worried of losing viewers by having fillers then I would suggest them to create the arcs for the cover story since they do have ties with the OP manga.

Toei is good when they have to try, i.e. making movies. Both film Z & strong world had amazing animation & art. They're the best animated movies I've seen, even better than HxH's movies.
