I'm not impressed. I've seen a lot of AMV's over the years, and it seems that after the 6 Minute vid was made, a lot of people started to copy that style. Remember, footage + epic music + dialogue does not equal epic vid if a million others have done it before you.
I believe there were 3 vids that started OP AMV trends.
This is One Piece - started the trend of synchronizing motion with music
One Piece - This is War - started the influx of 30 Sec to Mars vids
One Piece in 6 Minutes - started the trend of epic music + dialogue

I agree. I've yet to see an OP AMV that was better than the 6 minute trailer. And by better, I don't mean by people's opinions, I mean an AMV that actually captures One Piece. This is War is awesome but it only covered the war. This is One Piece is awesome but scenes were mixed around everywhere, like a typical AMV. Though that ain't why they aren't as good. Not everyone likes the songs in those two AMVs. The 6-minute trailer was more of a theme than a song, and you couldn't go wrong with it since it is in fact a Pirates of the Carribean theme, and DnubsPro had everything almost perfectly. Its the AMV that got me (and others) into OP in the first place. Those three are my favorite so far though.

These are general One Piece AMV's that, IMO, are better than One Piece is 6 Minutes. They do not tell the whole story of One Piece, but rather focus on 1 theme and go along. I chose not the provide AMV's about a single Arc or Person, but I have a few of those which are also much better than the ones you mentioned. Without further ado:

Similar concept of the one you provided, yet much better execution and more engaging song.

The importance of Dreams and the battle to defeat the obstacles.
The Story About a Man - ElG9xWorld
This is like a freestyle take on One Piece story and Luffy's quest. The Song is really engaging.
There was another one that I absolutely adored. It combined the soundtrack of Inception, Time, and the audio of speech of Charlie Chaplin with footage from One Piece. It was truly epic but it was removed. I tried my best to find it again, but couldn't. I leave here the name, if you find it, I will forever love you.
