I'm simply glad I'm a "new" fan... of not only One Piece, but Naruto as well. I can't imagine having to follow the series on a week to week basis from the VERY beginning, especially with all the fillers and crap like that.

New fans can simply watch episode after episode of awesomeness, and finish the entire series in a week or two

Is there even anyone on this forum that watched these series from DAY ONE? That would be crazy lol.
