One of the places Kishimoto went wrong, in my opinion

Now, don't look at the title and assume me to be one of those whiners who say that the manga has gone from worse to horrible, because that's not me. I like the manga the way it is. There is, however, something I believe Kishimoto could have done better, something that would have made it a hell of a lot better.

He killed off the Akatsuki too soon.

I get the fact that it was a stage to immensely develop some characters (Naruto, Shikamaru, Hinata, Sakura etc.) but I honestly think that some of the Akatsuki were possibly some of the best villains in manga history. Take Nagato, for example. I believe a good villain is not the type that want to 'take over the world'; I believe great villains are people who are doing the right things. Nagato had a 'peace through pain' ideal that he tried to make a reality through the way he thought would be best; showing people 'true pain'.

I would be perfectly fine with it if killing the Akatsuki led to a new, better plot, but let's be honest here; the subsequent war isn't exactly Naruto's finest point. It's pretty good, but I think that if the main conflict was Jinchuuriki vs. Akatsuki, it could have been better.

The current villains aren't even that good; Obito is as emotionally conflicted as an adolescent boy, and Madara is generic villain #36819. With Itachi, Tobi, and Nagato as primary antagonists, the story would have been much more interesting.

And this concludes my opinions. Remember, I don't dislike the way Naruto is now, just think it could have been a bit better. I'm sure (or at least hope) that Kishimoto knows what he's doing.

I agree on many points. I would not have minded an added arc or so for each Akatsuki pair. And I would personally have liked to see "fraccion" or minions for each member. That was, you can still kill off strong shinobi. But they won't be the actual members.

And. . If Orochimaru returns as a villain, he'll be good. But Pein, Tobi, Itachi, Kakuzu, and Deidara were great villains in the Akatsuki.

I agree.
I wish they would of spent some time going on more mission fighting ninja from other villages before they introduced akatskui so you could really get a scope of how powerful they were and how much of a threat they were to the villages.
In the manga they were said to be S classed and we were just told to believe they were the top tier of their country.

It sure would of been great to give a sense of comparison to back up that claim.

If akatsuki are alive there is no war arc . Which means no bm naruto . But i also was a big fan of akatsuki . They were a colllection of the most powerful ninja in the world . P.s. just cause itachi owned him oro shouldnt have left akatsuki .

that's actually quite a good idea... Orochimaru could have been killed off in a legit fight, Nagato staying around for longer, Itachi remains as a foil for Sasuke, Tobi remaining as he was and being actually Madara as he claimed (with obito's eye, much more epic), and Kisame as the loyal pawn trying to find his path. maybe throw in Kabuto as a means to ressurrect Orochimaru and a few well placed edo tensei to spice up the war.

I agree about Akatsuki being pushed out of the manga too quickly, they each really only had a couple chapters and then were killed off.

I disagree about Obito. People keep oversimplifying the driving force behind his actions. In the world, for one to prosper another must suffer, this is an inevitable fate for everything. Hell, that's basically the underlying philosophy behind capitalism. It's supposed to promote greater rewards for harder work, but what it really promotes is people trying to walk on each other for greater reward. That's human nature, and the nature of the world. People are struggling against each other for our basic needs, resources and companionship, and this is what causes conflict. So he's going to bring peace to the world by giving people what they want, Naruto and other don't like it because it doesn't utilize their beliefs in fascism. Okay, maybe that's over simplifying. They don't like it because it will be a false peace, an illusion, and Naruto would rather just beat up anyone that disagrees with him.

Too soon. Hidan and Kakazu didn't get no where near the development Sasori and Dederia got. I guess Kishi wanted to speed things up though. Shame he was onto something with them.
