Are you saying there are no poor in communism? Every system has flaws, capitalism just has the most gains. The problem with current American capitalism is the the federal government is too powerful. Big business controls all the money. The only way to keep them from buying to the government is to reduce the governments power so there is nothing to be bought. That is how you effectively run a capitalist country.

And you effectively ruin the very definition of a democracy at the same damn time. The reason capitalism doesn't work is because once the businesses get too big, monopolies form and it gets rid of the competition. Once there is no competition and the government can not longer do anything about it, the poor will continue to get poor and the rich will continue to get rich while forcing profits; effectively destroying the middle (working)class.

That is the major flaw of capitalism. Word to Teddy Roosevelt. He saved us from the clutches of 'big business' once already. Who will save us from it if we decide to take away all of the governments powers again?

The only power the government should really have (besides repairing roads and public maintainence shit like that) is to bust trusts. That is something that can't really be bought as people would see it and call them on it
