I read couple of comments days ago, talking about how people are just making everyone to be revolutionaries if they aren't with the marines and the pirates. However, I believe there is a big reason to this. And the reason has to do with the introduction of the Revolutionaries and their purpose.
The revolutionaries are a group that is going to rival the world government... And that also doesn't mean the pirates are off the hook. Alot of the pirates will probably ally with the WG also. People like Dofla/blackbeard/Kidd have no spot in the revolutionaries unless they drastically change. So the Revolutionaries are going to be taking on a HUGE army.
World government = All the CP, all of the marines (Marineford was merely a small fraction of them.) like all the Vice-admirals (i assume there are alot of them like Fujitora). the "army", and some pirates i assume. Mililtaries from different countries if they are under the WG.
To take on all this ..... The revolutionaries need a big army, full of a lot of strong people. From the current showcasing of the Revolutionaries we only know of Dragon who is probably younkou level or above, and then Sabo and Ivankov. <<< These ain't enough. So hence, people assume so and so is going to join the revolutionaries. I mean for all we know characters who have been introduced in the past , might just be in the revolutionaries but didn't know about them.
Because at the end of the manga (if the "great war" is the end) there are gonna be essentially 2 sides... Revolutionaries vs World Government.. most Pirates are merely "mercenaries for hire". Dragon and Sabo aren't gonna be able to take on the admirals + gorosei + Kong + all the Vice-admirals... The revolutionaries at the moment are an "uncharted territory" so to speak.
So in my opinion, the main reason some of us think that so and so is going to be a revolutionary is because we know they are gonna go against the world government, and not enough revolutionaries have been introduced.. so its only logical for us to assume so and so might join the revolutionaries.
What do you think is the reason why people assume people are going to be revolutionaries??
