One-hand handsigns?!

Now I do like Minato quite a lot as a character, as proven by both my avatar and signature, but that does not stop me from being absolutely flabbergasted by his sudden inexplicable ability to form handsigns with only one hand. What is this sorcery?

First he is suddenly a sensor type - alright, I guess that could be explained by Kyuubi's chakra, especially if Kyuubi had to tell him to do it, it probably has something to do with the Yin chakra locked in him. But then this? It defies all purpose of handsigns in the first place, if it were that easy, no one would be doing handsigns with both hands, they'd be holding a kunai with one to defend themselves and doing ninjutsu with the other.

Is it just me who thinks that's kind of ridiculous?

Don't know about the hand seals, he is supposedly simply that good I guess. I wonder what was the plot purpose of him losing an arm then.

As to sensory abilities, he has shown them before, but apparently he uses them consciously, he doesn't always have them "on" unlike Karin and others.

minato could already sense before this as he can do that whole touch the ground sensing stuff also one handed hand signs have been done by haku and the 2nd hokage i believe

Doesn't mean its special, its just rare. Most people don't need it hence why it hasn't been shown up since the Haku arc.

I dont know what to fuss is about. This is not the first time Minato has done handseals with one hand, he normally does it, especially regarding ftg.
What is surprising was haku cld do one hand sign because of his kekkei genkai , minato doesn't hav a kekkei genkai but he does it anyway.

For the sensory type, he has always been a sensory type since the beginning. He just does not use it always. He used it in Kakashi gaiden, also da fight btn him, Ay and Bee, also during Obito fight and him. When he was edo tenseid back he used it. So with his sensory mastery, it has always been there.

But its not some crazy thing that will you super powerful or make you save the ninja world. I just don't want Minato fanboys using this as an argument as if its really gonna change anything.

Few ninjas throughout the series are able to do handsigns, specially those which 'hand sings' stat in the databook it high, OR have some affinity with Yin power.

These ninjas include Minato, Itachi, Sasuke, Haku, Tobi, and so on.

Minato is special to become a Hokage at a younger age, you know, right?
It was because of his feats as well as his love towards his village.
Minato was already a sensor, he could tell by putting the index finger on the ground.
So, it's nothing new to see a one-handed handsign from him when we can see Madara pulling asspulls after asspulls.

But come to think of it, He didn't planned to use one-handed handsigns to perform Uzumaki seals to stomp on BZ.
