I'm not necessarily saying that naruto is held back by plot... but its DEFINITELY not true that he's being SAVED by plot.

EITHER WAY, this fight might be rushed in the manga, but expanded in the anime, like Tenten vs. Temari. This fight deserves/deserved 15 chapters minimum.

i alwaysed disliked the saved by plot type comments considering logical in world circumstances and or smart strategy is what makes a character win or lose - and you saying Sasuke was "saves by plot more" is adding on to the dumbness.
