When I read this during the manga it occured to me that he might only be able to use the human path with that hand. I didn't see it if anybody already posted this but is it possible for Tobi to only do rinnegan techniques with half his body? Until now I wondered about the drawbacks of only having one rinnegan eye, so this would provide some explanation- it wouldn't make sense if he had the same power as someone with two rinnegan eyes.

I think he was going to lure out kakashi and guy. But either way, did you notice the thing on his back? It looked like gaaras gourd only flat, with sharingan-like marks. Ive seen madara use the same thing! if you look up madara on naruto wiki, you see he has that weapon. How come tobi has it? Anyone knows? And that metal thing going up from it. what is that?

Ummm, I think you missed what I was conveying here..Sasuke was warped out of the Tsuchikage's Jutsu but it doesn't show Tobi touching him...it shows him holding him after the fact yes....but it doesn't show Tobi holding him in order to save him from being vaporized by the Tsuchikage..

You see a silhouette of Sasuke in the Tsuchikage's attack though...now is it possible that Tobi somehow warped in and saved Sasuke? Sure, but you don't see it in the manga, we can only assume that he did, which obviously he did because later he is holding Sasuke. My point is that it is not shown how he was able to warp him, you asked for proof and I gave it lol. This was more of me being a smartass than trying to prove something because I know that Tobi warped him out but we don't see him actually touch Sasuke to do so..lol

How was this thread solved on page 2? There is no reason to believe Tobi said "Once I touch you with this hand..." etc. because he was going to teleport Naruto using sharingan. Nagato fighting 9 tails mode Naruto was probably foreshadowing how easily a real rinnegan user (not a remotely controlled path like Pain or the edo jin) can defeat Naruto: the rinnegan can instantly pull out anyone's soul. Tobi wasn't going to attempt a move he's been capable of using ever since he appeared in the series because he would have no need to save it for now. He is relying on the rinnegan and the tailed beasts, the sharingan isn't enough to defeat Bee or Naruto. The sharingan is mainly for Tobi's unique S/T jutsu and to use genjutsu in conjunction with the rinnegan's powerful chakra to bend the tailed beasts to his will, as well as enhancing his overall power with the well known traits of the sharingan I don't need to explain.

It's clear that Tobi was attempting to defeat Naruto the same way as edo Nagato, yet Naruto was rescued by Guy and Kakashi- the same way Itachi rescued him from Nagato. Naruto was rescued on both occassions because there is no counter to that jutsu, just like the gentle fist and vital organs, noone can strengthen their soul. We will certainly see it again from Tobi, he favors the human path the way Nagato favored the Deva path.

Seriously? Listen to yourself. All of that was mentioned by the 2nd or 3rd page. There has even been evidence proving that if Tobi touches someone with his right hand they will enter his dimension via Sharingan. It's been shown that he uses that hand for his technique. Why would he use a completely different one now???

The only person to escape that is Minato...
