and yeah, Gaara shouldn't have interfered. I don't get why he did that and then attacked him. So lame... I don't think that Sasuke would get killed but at least, he would be beaten up hard and that would be the best medicine for his ego ><

I don't think he would stop even with a leg less. For him it isn't only fighting for his brother. It's also fighting for his village because, Kumogakure had 2 Jincuurikis. And they lost them both. First Akatsuki captures the 2 tails and after that the 8 tails.
It is hard for Kumogakure to accept the fact that both beasts were stolen and even harder for a leader who lost his brother to forfeit even if he is cut in half. In many ways he reminds me of Naruto. For Raikage it is his own personal pride and his village's pride in danger.
And I don't think he will manage to kill Sasuke. Someone will just save him again.

Sorry Giga but you're the one not reading the manga properly. Gaara said "If you had continued the black flames would have harmed you more." That does not imply that it would be life threatening. From what we see in the pictures it looks as though the flames are going to consume the legs. But flames are not a solid object so Raikage's leg would have most likely continued on its patch. Given the past strength shown by Raikage and Sasuke's position of being on the ground with his chest open for attack, its quite likely that Sasuke's chest would have ended up concave.

Well there are SO MANY possibilities and it is all we have to hold onto. Like when Kishi especially in this case skips those possible theories. If you think about it Raikage had to decapitate his arm so if his leg caught on fire then it would also have to be cut off. That would then leave to nonstop bleeding. He does have Shi to counter against that in a medical standpoint, but in that moment of weakness Sasuke could have a chance to go in. He would have to go through Darui first but if given the chance Sasuke has the possibilities to defeat him.
Then there is Shi left which would have to stop on Raikage (his medical help cut off) to defend him which he was already dealt with by Sasuke. Yes, you do make a point about Amaterasu being fire and not being an actual solid. Although, you must remember that Sasuke manipulated the flames to become spikes. Sasuke could have most likely used chakra to change its shape and its defense similar to Gaara's defensive sand. Amaterasu is not just a regular fire, it could be debated how that fire would fair against a blow. Naruto has a fictional universe meaning you can argue logic but not to a completely logical degree.
I think if Sasuke felt Amaterasu wouldn't have been able to stop Raikage then he would've used the Susanoo he later on used as a defense. It just doesn't make sense using something that wouldn?t guarantee safety. Sasuke first hand already knows of Raikage?s strength from the chop to his neck. Nonetheless, Gaara?s sand shield was able to block his kick so who?s to say that Amaterasu with or without added chakra couldn?t be defensive? The Raikage used lightning to surround his hand as a sharp tool to cut his arm off.
So what if Sasuke?s intention in manipulating Amaterasu into a spiked shape is to make it sharp. Sasuke?s Chidori Eisou (Chidori Sharp Spear) is his Chidori manipulated into the form of a blade and seems like this is exactly what he accomplished with Amaterasu being made sharp and a solid property. If Raikage?s leg was allowed to hit and got pierced by Amaterasu, who can say that Sasuke couldn?t direct the flamed leg away before it was to hit him. As Amaterasu when released out the eye can be cast anywhere and as well could even be guided. Who can say that if his leg caught fire that the black flames would be able to burn through his skin quickly an reduced to ashes.
We don?t know how fast or deep Amaterasu can burn because it has yet to be used on bare human flesh as it has always been used on more durable things. For example Raikage?s gauntlet (inanimate object) or Kirabi (biju skin) etc. It has also been extinguished before any major damage done or escapes it by chopping off the area. Although, in my own opinion I believe that Amaterasu being as hot as the sun is and by all means no normal fire, it shouldn?t be underestimated. I too have not only stated a few but many possibilities on Sasuke?s part and in other words these are all only assumptions. Only Kishi can define logic for all of us in his fictional manga.

Than maybe you should create a new forum and call it Sasukebase.
Gaara said he wanted to talk to sasuke, if he hadnt stopped raikage there, he would never again be able to talk to him, because sasuke would be dead.

first off sasuke made a amaterasu spear. it would of cut thru raikages leg and burned him from the inside out. if gaara didnt stop raikage he wouldnt of been able to talk to sasuke because sasuke would of left the battle scene to go kill danzo.
