The whole child of prophecy discussion,that's going on.

This whole thing started with the 2 previous chapters (670,671), and because of that people now believe
that naruto all this time was set up to succeed and. Before i go deeper in to this let me say this ;

Didn't we already knew this at the pain arc, that naruto is the child of prophecy
but now in the current arc people act surprissed and buthurt.

The toad sage said that Naruto and Nagato were both the children of prophecy
but nagato failed and naruto will succeed because he's the main character,it wouldn't make any sense if
Nagato succeeded and naruto failed. What do we learn from all this ....Naruto can fail too

meaning that being the child of prophecy does not guarantee success.
Next thing i want to point out Neji said that naruto would fail and that he can't change his destiny
look what he has become and not only that the recent chapter proved it even more the sage told naruto
that he didn't inherit nothing from his parents.Which mean he was a underdog up until now.

What people fail to realize is that the Great Toad Sage just predicts stuff; he isn't omnipotent. For all we know, he could be wrong, and Naruto could get fodderized by air.

Well the thing about them being the Child of Prophecy is that they were Jiraiya's pupils. Jiraiya is "dead" so unless he is "revived", he cant have another pupil. Naruto is the last one.
