On the open sea!

The past few months I have been in the process if joining Anerica's Navy as an enlisted man to eventually become an officer. I have always dreamed of joining the military but never really thought I had a shot. Then my girlfriend and I were talking about our future and I made the decision to serve my country. Picking the branch was difficult enough, but I decided on the Navy instead of the marines after my father-in-law-to-be said that the Marines wasn't really "family-oriented" and I obviously wanted a family.

The reason I am telling you this is because I have enjoyed my time here and find that I will miss it while I'm gone. I don't know my dates for basic training or when I would be on active duty, but I do know by this time next year I will be a member if the United States Navy.

If you guys would, please pray for me (or whatever you do when you wish the best for someone) for the coming years. Many of you don't know me, but I know you.
