When i saw it i imedietly assumed he was activating sage mode cause you know he was jiraiyas student and being that minato had a toad contract surely he has sagemode afterall jiraiya had it and naruto has it but anyway as i was saying why does it look dark around minato's eyes not only that but he no longer looka like an edo anymore.
I think you're forgetting the obvious: that Minato was Uchiha Obito's sensei and that up until that page, Minato hasn't been told about Obito (from what we've seen since his summoning). To see an adult version of the 12 year old kid you taught would be an "eye opener."
Additionally, Minato's look could also be explained by the fact that he might still have a mark on Obito's body and could conceivably FlyingThunderGuy to Obito's current body.

It was speculated by others that he teleported the the tattoo he left on Killer B's body to stop the Juubi's Tailed Beast Bomb. Unless Obito was privy to the Tattoo Removal no Jutsu he may still have the mark.

To see some masquera on Minato in one panel and to assume he gets another power up (after being dead) seems like you want the story to go more bullsh*t. It is true that he studied with/ held contract with the Toads. However nothing really hinted that he mastered it. Why wouldn't he use it during the 9 tails attack if he learned it while alive? A trump card he didn't use in the fight for his wife and child? I could be wrong.
