Ki blasts are the martial artists mastering their Chi/Ki/Spiritual energy. Bronze Tiger from DC uses chi I believe and so do Iron fist if I'm correct.

Goku was not next to them when he landed, they could see his ship descend and see his landing impact but couldn't see his ship. It was miles upon miles away, just like how you can see falling stars thousands of miles away. Also Goku is stated to travel across Nameki as pointed out in a video here
