Omnyoudon has never killed anyone.

I just realised something. Omnyoudon Black Balls have never actually done any damage to anyone. All they have done is Nulify Ninjutsu.

Obito's only hit Edo's with his, and Blocked various Ninjutsu.

Madara, However, has hit two people with his Omnyoudou. Gai, when he protected Kakashi from his attack, and Himself, when Gai pushed him through it.

So, what do those to incidents have in common?
Neither gai, nor Madara, Are a puddle of blood like they should be after taking that kind of attack.




So, does omnyoudou have any offensive capabilities at all?

When Kakashi and Obito where fighting him, Kakashi warped Obito, and Gai blocked the OMnyoudon Ball that madara sent at Kakashi.

I know, that why my response was not complete to you. I just created thread elaborating more about Onmyoudon while explaining in detail how it is used.

IN short: Use of Onmyoudon is not passive ability but active ability, so Madara need to control it directly for it to work.

Why he didn't use it ? Possible he could not focus enough while taking beating from Gai or aws took off guard by Gai's speed. Maybe he didn't take him completly serious and gave openinig. Last explanation could be that he couldn't react in time, but I doubt it.
