The sage was probably talking about Naruto considering it's him the bijuu have understood as that person. Even the juubi saw rikudou's eyes in chapter 629. All the hints for the sage are with Naruto, not Sasuke.

I think Naruto alone is the successor of the sage. Other than this "eye" "body" thing, Sasuke has no real connection to the sage. Definitely not the same way Naruto does.

That would ruin most of the themes in this manga, and in fact... Sasuke winning his fight against Naruto hurts his character the most. So even if they are equal in power, I'm willing to bet my left testicle that Naruto wins whatever fight they have anyways

But in power, they will most likely be equal. Even if Naruto meets the sage with that weird bijuu stuff in him, he's likely not getting a powerup. So in strength they're gonna be equal.
