Okay, since several believe the "the manga has gone to shit now" I would like to...

Since so many seem unsatisfied with the direction of the manga now, I would like to hear what these same people would do differently. These are the largest criticisms and bashings I've read.

"Everyone is meaningless now and the main characters are gods. It's not about shinobi anymore, it's about DBZ."

What would you have preferred the ending be like then?

"It all went to shit when Tobi was revealed to be Obito."

Who would you have preferred he be then?

"I don't like character parallels or destiny."

What do you like?

Keep in mind that the first through last person who bashes either Kishimoto, the series, myself or others will be met with negative rep and reporting. I don't tolerate that garbage anywhere, even here. This is an objective feedback thread. Either keep it clean and courteous or keep out of it altogether. Those who keep to this common place rule will receive rep from me.

You don't tolerate people expressing that they no longer enjoy something? Listen, when it comes to a story, you do one of the three things:
1. You analyze it to decide whether or not you like it, and that involves critiquing
2. You hate on it mindlessly
3. You suck its ****

You're doing number 3 by insinuating that one cannot justifiably dislike the series. If there's one thing you take from this thread when it's over, it's that no series is perfect, and liking Naruto has as much merit as disliking it.

I think a couple of these last few chapters, and some of the directions Kishimoto has went with has been sloppy and sucking. Stay upset.

That does not answer my question, and if you want to get literal, Naruto is not about real world shinobi. Shinobi possess no emotions or identities. They all hide in the shadows and possess the same stealth techniques and weapons, not flashy magic techniques they can create through super powered spirit energy or ancient, supernatural lineages.

Would you like for me to explain next how the strawhats are nothing at all like real pirates?

What would you have preferred the ending be like then?

Naruto and Sasuke defeating Madara in an epic all out fight that nearly destroys the shinobi world, assuming everyone would be safe in their IT cocoons. After this happens, Naruto and Sasuke have a dispute over what happens to the Biju's and they have their final showdown.

"It all went to shit when Tobi was revealed to be Obito."

Who would you have preferred he be then?

Obito was a fine choice, his motives, in my opinion, were far from "fine".

"I don't like character parallels or destiny."

I like the characters, for the most part.

No, I do not tolerate someone calling something "shit" over and over. There is a difference between bashing and criticizing, and based on your reply to me, I'm getting the impression you usually do the former.

You're doing number 3 by insinuating that one cannot justifiably dislike the series.

Incorrect. I have criticized the series a number of times as much as every other one I've watched or read. It is not my problem you cannot tell the difference between bashing and critiquing.

If there's one thing you take from this thread when it's over, it's that no series is perfect, and liking Naruto has as much merit as disliking it.

I never said you couldn't dislike it.

It appears you did not read the bold in my op.

I wouldn't change anything, because this is Masashi Kishimoto's story, not mine.

This appears to be more or less what is happening now. All the same, how does this contradict the DBZ statement in that everyone is god-like and the world can be destroyed?

Very good. Elaborate to me a bit more on this criticism and you may be repped.

No they cant think that far, they can only criticize. They have no idea what they want to happen in the manga.

All you've proven is that they suck at being ninjas.

And that you enjoy characters that suck at being shinobi. Is there an exact point you're trying to make here because you are completely contradicting yourself. I didn't state they were bad shinobi. I stated they were not like real world shinobi because shinobi in real life do not possess super powers or personality.

No they cant think that far, they can only criticize. They have no idea what they want to happen in the manga.

As sad as it is, for the most part, I agree.

The power levels don't exactly bother me, it's the sudden change in plot. I don't like the fact the Kaguya is the new final villain (or at least, she seems to be the final villian). Madara was introduced to the story hundreds of chapters ago, and there has always been power to his name. The moment I found out that he was reanimated, I got the hunch it would be him vs. the world in the end. It's not even that I like Madara, because he could be a better villain in my opinion. The difference between Madara and Kaguya is foreshadowing and plot relevance. Yeah, you could say Kaguya was foreshadowed and she has tons of plot relevance, but it seems as if it was thought of recently as a last minute attempt to make the series "more interesting" when it was already interesting. It's one of those "don't try and fix what isn't broken moments".

His entire reasoning for leaving the village and doing Madara's bidding was because a childhood crush died. I don't care who tries to sugarcoat this or twist his motives to their liking, it really boils down to some female dying. That's not exceptional writing.

And I don't care about rep, never have.

1: I would of liked it to at least keep to the scale where elemental ninjutsu can be used, and they don't possess techniques that are so obviously over powering without consequences that they can use it endlessly and exclusively or however they see fit.

2: The personality changed, but I like both. So, I could care less to this point.

3: I don't like it when an established under dog and hard worker was suddenly throw on a pedestal as the worlds savior, who can heal a man from a jutsu that takes the users life, and thanks to being the reincarnation of the verses God is nearly promised greatness.

The difference between Madara and Kaguya is foreshadowing and plot relevance.

And what if it turns out that Kimimaro and his clan as well as the shinigami were foreshadowing for her? Kaguya I believe was foreshadowed well in these past two arcs, but I will agree Madara was developed and foreshadowed better, though Kaguya too is heavily inspired based on the the parallels I have found of her.

Yeah, you could say Kaguya was foreshadowed and she has tons of plot relevance, but it seems as if it was thought of recently as a last minute attempt to make the series "more interesting" when it was already interesting. It's one of those "don't try and fix what isn't broken moments".

Very understandable and reasonable.

His entire reasoning for leaving the village and doing Madara's bidding was because a childhood crush died. I don't care who tries to sugarcoat this or twist his motives to their liking, it really boils down to some female dying. That's not exceptional writing.

I think you're becoming a bit too unreasonable here with the "I don't care how people sugar-coat it" statement lol. The way I interpreted it was he saw the shinobi system as a whole as a curse or as hell. He stated this when she died, he stated this when he returned to Madara and he stated it a third time to Kakashi. He didn't even regard Rin who died as the real Rin, or even Kakashi. Obito, while still ruthless also seemed to relate to Naruto's personality and ideals and was effected by him throughout the series by Naruto's victories and swayings over Akatsuki members. Furthermore, he seemed to put the safety and happiness of the world over his own well-being. Yes, as I saidm he was ruthless, but he seemed quite lucid most of the time, never liked Madara and in my opinion was not unhinged like him. Madara possessed a god complex. Obito in my opinion didn't he also didn't mock or torture the shinobi like Madara did and tried to persuade them. I'm sorry if you regard this as "sugar-coating," but it's just the way I interpreted and how I saw him portrayed. Maybe even this was not enough for you?

And I don't care about rep, never have.
Well I'm only trying to be courteous and friendly lols.

1: I would of liked it to at least keep to the scale where elemental ninjutsu can be used, and they don't possess techniques that are so obviously over powering without consequences that they can use it endlessly and exclusively or however they see fit.

But Naruto and Sasuke did use elemental techniques on Madara and the whole of the alliance and even Naruto and Sasuke were worn out from fighting Obito. Naruto and even Kurama ran low on chakra several times while Kkashi finally lost his stamina and started going blind.

3: I don't like it when an established under dog and hard worker was suddenly throw on a pedestal as the worlds savior, who can heal a man from a jutsu that takes the users life, and thanks to being the reincarnation of the verses God is nearly promised greatness.

But wouldn't you agree that if they hadn't worked hard, they would not have made it where they are now, destiny or not? In my opinion, Naruto was on a pedestal from the start. The whole series is named after him and the valley of the end statues were obvious parallels to destiny for me. It didn't just start in this arc, but all the way back in the beginning.

I agree it would have been more enjoyable, dynamic and realistic if Gai died. On the other hand, it's not as if Naruto resurrected him. He just kept his life force from going out.
