I am so confused already, where are all of kaneki's friends? Where is kaneki? Didn't he died? And why are there so many weird investigators? and who is sasaki? ughh... Is Tokyo ghoul:re even canon?
Well if the manga is in fact canon it's not doing a good job explaining things, so far it's just random investigators talking about imformation and cases blah blah blah. I'm losing interest.
Pfft, this guy is absolutely clueless.

You guys would be surprised how many of TG's readers share the same opinion as this guy. It's kinda sad, but also somewhat understandable.
I never once said the story is bad, or lacks good flow. What I meant by ''understandable'' was that the Tokyo Ghoul fanbase generally favors two aspects of the manga almost exclusively from what I've been reading online:
- The ghoul side and its characters.
- Kaneki.
The first is evidently much, much less present in :re compared to the original, and it's pretty clear the focus has been shifted to the CCG. Obviously, Kaneki is also ''gone'' and ''replaced'' by a new character. Now add the fact that there are a lot of new characters introduced, a large part of which are CCG members who apparently don't have the same appeal as ghouls, not to mention known and liked characters that barely have panel time, and this is where the average reader - Mannequin, for example - starts to lose patience and not appreciate the hidden gems and actual importance of how Tokyo Ghoul's continuation is done.
TG:re has a more select audience than the original TG. In my opinion it's better than TG was at this stage, and if it keeps up or improves in the future (which it will), it'll surpass it completely.
Will there be more chapters? Is there a continuation?
is Tokyo ghoul part one worth reading?
