So after revisiting my Curse Mark Vessel Theory, I completely overlooked this incredible fact. Jugo equates his sage transformation to both orochimaru’ curse mark AND Kabuto’ perfected sage mode.
Assuming the two curse marks works in a similar manner, this could mean that boruto will gain an ‘ohtsutsuki transformation’ or ‘ohtsutsuki mark transformation’. This mode would grant boruto the ability to passively use very powerful ohtsutsuki chakra(rather than senjutsu like with orochimaru’ version). Plus each known sage mode grants a unique ability, frog sage mode gets frog kata, snake sage mode gets inorganic reanimation, and the curse marks did something similar. Only once you achieve the stage 2 curse mark, the user goes through a drastic physicaI change in appearance. These changes allowed the user to gain new abilities and use jutsu that wasn’t previously possible. Now we’ve witnessed boruto’ curse mark start to manifest and based on how the series highlights its progression, his curse mark might be prepping him for a transformation(or he might need a catalyst like with orochimaru’ curse mark). He could even gain a unique ability. I think much like orochimaru’ curse mark, boruto with his own curse mark might be able to use or manifest some new jutsu previously unavailable to him. I’m talking access to kekkei genkai or even kekkei mora exclusive to the ohtsutsuki clan. So that’s my new theory, an ‘ohtsutsuki mark transformation’ with a unique ability granted post transformation. I see it happening, I see it clearly.
