Yea the huuygas clan as well as the narutos clan have never been really explained very well. Which is kind of a shame.

It's not just men. Deep down everyone wishes they had that one person that they can trust implicitly and shows absolute devotion to them

It's unfortunate that Kishimoto decided to draw and portray the main females as completely dependant on and obsessed with males. Even when everyone was captured in IT, all the women's dreams (save for Ten-Ten, gg) were to just be next to the guy they love. That's both hilarious and sad. There ain't nothing wrong with them wanting to be with their other half, but them being Shinobi and, supposedly, self-respecting women kinda implies that they should strive for more, not to mention they didn't even imagine a family, just what looked like some highschool dating. But nope, every woman just wants to settle down, period. Screw world peace, social standing or personal values, right?

Hinata's the same as everyone. Those who really think she's fundamentally different from the ultimate fangirl - Karin - need a reality check or reading comprehension. When push comes to shove, it's all about Naruto. Good thing she has a large fanbase, otherwise she would be the one called useless and obsessed...

Maybe because her reasoning is slightly different, such as not falling for looks.

Karin was never really a serious character. She is one of those characters who had fan girl crish on Sasuke. I am not suprised at all with the treatment she got.

Hinata on the other hand had far more reason to love Naruto. In my opinion its more deeper than Sakuras for Sasuke. Her and Karin by no means have a similiar love for Naruto and Sasuke.
